Re: Lego Marvel. NEW for 2013!!!

I'm loving the minifigures on that set, but the set itself looks so cheap, the jet thing looks like a creator model and the Building isn't a building just a section :(

I was hoping for a wraparound set like the haunted house or the modular buildings, i.e a whole building front, back and sides.

I'll probably get it for the figures and just keep the parts for spares.

I'd love a Rhino minfig done like the Hulk

You haven't been collecting Lego very long have you? MOST sets are like that - not full buildings. The whole Modular thing is really new and outside of the Haunted House, they haven't really sprung into other lines yet. So its about what I expected. Lego is clearly struggling with adding things to build with these superhero sets. The properiest themselves don't lend to a lot of things to logically build. Hense Doom's jet thrown in for 'value.'

The thing that bugs me about this set though is JJJ's hair. They have a flat top hair piece. Why is his hair slicked back? :slap

Doesn't look too good

Who the hell wants Fury in a Spidey set, or a motorbike :dunno

These two are the only Spider-Man sets for 2013, both have pointless vehicles & out of the 6 minfigures only 2 are actual spider-man supporting characters :slap

They could've at least used the Black Spidey from SDCC rather than reuse the same one twce

They should've bought the Spidey license and not the crappy cartoon license.

Spider-man has the best or second best rogues gallery around and only one villain gets used :slap

You must not watch the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon the sets are based on :lol

I tried but there wasn't any of his villains, he was an underling to Shield and rode a fricken bike.

That's like instead of Iron Man flying he uses a skateboard :cuckoo:

That's NOT a Spider-Man cartoon, it's a mishmash of characters with Spider-Man thrown-in :lecture

I wouldn't mind if it was a traditional Nick Fury:

On that note, if they make Kingpin, will he be African American or Caucasian? I'm all for equality, but why mess with classic characters when it comes to film versions of comic books?

If its not based on the movie it should be caucasian. But personally I thought MCD did a great job and I honestly couldn't think of who would have been better for the role at the time, regardless of race.

I too would love a classic Fury someday too.

It got better. Being a Nova fan, I'm surprised you didn't keep watching just for him. :lol

My only Gripe with new legos is the specific parts you get now, theres less creativity involved now when building stuff. My opinion of course.

I'm getting the opposite vibe, I love the Bugles skyscraper look, think I need two of these bad boys for better scale. :clap

Re: Lego Marvel. NEW for 2013!!!

WalMart was loading all their current Avengers sets into the clearance aisles today, hope they go as low as they're selling Kreo Transformers for.
