Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Great pics Jo! I can't believe the PO got it to you so fast, they're slower than ____ here in AZ. And for the record I bought the UCS SD for $199.99 shipped! And it was on clearance.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Yeah, I was surprised as well... and you wrapped the ____ out of that little cone :lol

Great score on the Star Destroyer... man I'd love to drop $200 for one of those. At the time I was intrigued by the UCS sets, but had trouble wrapping my brain around the cost. But seeing your Destroyer makes me realize I was a fool, a fool I tell ya!!! :cuss

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

i got my nephew the previous X-Wing for his birthday last year, what's different about this one?

Updated model, comes with Porkins, and the first ever R5 head for the astromech mold. And I believe the set comes with enough red plates to create the Red-6 designation on the X-Wing.

You know, the funny thing is that set was on there site for years, like from 2003-2006. So awesome. And yeah I wrapped that little cone in a paper towel, I didn't have a padded envelope. :lol

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

I really hope they re-release some of the older ships like they have just started doing. I would like to get an A-Wing, B-Wing, and Star Destroyer. We have already pre-ordered the new Y-Wing.

Here is a picture of my kids collection so far (and yes I play with them).

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Wish I picked up Vader's Tie Fighter... :(

That was the key piece, as my son got it for last Christmas and I refused to let him open it since he was 3 at the time. We opened it when he turned 4 (I know below the age recommendation) and he loved it. We have become a Lego mecca since then and not in the picture is all of the mini kits, figures and evironments (such as the Wampa and ewok sets).

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

I'm really looking forward to the UCS B-wing that's supposed to be coming out later this year. It will be a great addition to all my other UCS ships and I'm sure it will look great next to the UCS Y-wing. I'm still waiting for TLG to make my favorite ship in the UCS though, the A-wing. A UCS TIE bomber would be awesome too.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

So when is LEGO going to re-release some Tusken Raider or Jawa mini figures? There haven't been any sets with them in quite a while. As good as the ANH sets are in 2012 we need those as well as some Cantina Aliens.

Usually I am against re-releases but in Lego, it is fine with the new redesigns and a chance for the kids to have a toy that we do not have to buy on eBay for $500.00 or more.

:lecture I'd love to see those as well... I'd like to see them add the head topper piece that Darth Maul now has, or at least a variation of it, to the Tusken Raiders.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

I picked up the Snow Trooper and Rebel Trooper (hoth) sets for $5.90 a piece while I was in Ohio. Sadly, they had most of the sets from that period at 50% off; but no Wampa :monkey2

$5.90 per set??!! And I bgt mine for ....

Somebody's gonna hurt real bad...somebody.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Yep, I was pretty stoked when I saw a stack of them for $5.90. The Wal Mart was pretty poorly stocked too... they just had 4 rows of discounted toys all jumbled together in the garden section. The regular toy section didn't look much better :lol
