Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Really? Looks like I'm going to TRU today at lunch, even though I hate them for their inflated pricing.

Did you and your son build them yet?

We did the escape pod, and will be doing the Tie Fighter this weekend. The pod is not bad. I liked that they included a silver lego stud to use as the droid part that the sandtrooper holds up when he says "Look sir, droids!" Also, the C-3PO figure looks quite a bit different (and better) than the other two I have in my collection.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Just noticed that the set has Sandtroopers with painted leg detail, which is cool. Do you have the Landspeeder set, icruise? From the photos I don't see a difference between this new 3po and the Landsppeder version, but it's hard to tell.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

I do have the landspeeder set, although I'm not positive which C-3PO came with which set at this point. Here are the three that I could find at the moment. The one on the far right came with the new set. I think the one on the left is from "Jabba's Message" and the middle one is from the Landspeeder.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Wow, nice to see the LEGO love. Just picked up the Joker's Hideout, gonna wait for the new SW sets to hit Target. I hate TRUs.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Anyone seen the new SW sets at retail yet?

I saw Walmart had signage posted in the Lego aisle advertising the new sets arrive Feb 10th...but I am sure stores will have them before then.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Haven't seen any... but I'd planned on swinging by Wal Mart this evening so I'll give it a look.

Did get the Wampa set it... turns out no box and a water stained instruction sheet :rolleyes2 Kind of annoyed since I just assumed it was NMIB from the listing, but as long as its complete I'll be fine.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Which sets are those?

The smallest ones. The Biker Scout, speeder bike, Stormtrooper and two Rebel Endor Troopers w/ tree and some PT or CW set that was the same size/price. You know, the troop builder ones.

I want the Endor set, but I'm willing to wait a few days.

Don't have much room for Legos..just the one shelf in my room. Though the Super Star Destroyer will have to go in the basement.

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

What's the deal with those? A mini vehicle with a mini figure?

A vehicle, a mini guy and the planet. Some of the new ones this summer are Yavin with X-Wing and Endor with AT-ST. Might grab those as well. Pretty good for 9 bucks shipped on Amazon.

That's ____ty, the nice thing about LEGO is that they're dishwasher safe! The instructions...not so much :lecture

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Yeah, the bricks look clean... but I might give them a wash just to get rid of any dirty house/kid germs :lol

Re: LEGO Star Wars - anyone?

Well crap, turns out in addition to no box (which again, not listed as coming with the box, I just assumed) it is missing the sticker sheet and the f'n Wampa's antlers! :huh How frustrating!

Really hope the seller has these, if not I'm gonna have to send stuff back to get a refund and I'll be down like $5 for shipping. Guess that teaches me a lesson when buying used Legos :huh
