I don't know....
I kinda dig the cape sort of tied back like that. Gives his arms room to draw and shoot without all that material getting in the way. Holes in cloth is a tricky proposition, because as the strap moves around and shifts, it could tear the hole bigger. Then where would you be?
Thanks, Mikey.

This figure is awesome. Simply awesome.

I went ahead and did it last night. I don't forsee the holes getting any bigger because of this. I'm really happy with the way it looks.

Some pics for your consideration...

Where on the cloaks did you make the incisions? It looks really nice tied through the cloak like that, and much more movie accurate.

Thanks, Seaward. Movie accurate was what I was definitely going for. I used a small, but very sharp, scissors to poke the holes. If I needed the hole bigger I just pushed it further through the cloak. I made the holes while it was still being "worn" by Legolas for the best placement. The closer towards the body the better.

I almost forgot about showing the third hole... sheesh.

Awesome, thanks for the pictures and the advice. My Legolas arrives today, and I figure this could be an easy customization, and not damage the cloak too much. The cuts you made look to be very unobtrusive, and the display looks really nice!
Thanks again!

It was my pleasure. Thanks again, Seaward. Good luck. I hope it turns out ok for ya.

I FINALLY got him!!!! This figure is insane! Sideshow did a marvelous job; everything on this piece is excellent, from the sculpt to the outfit to the accessories. Thanks Sideshow for this amazing figure!

I agree this piece is really fantastic. IMO the way the jaw looks in pics I can't see it in the actual piece. The detail is just plain nutty.

No problem have to give LOTR the doily treatment as well. It's a impressive piece as I said and the pics came out nicely despite the time of day.

MaulFan, you will DEFNITELY be happy!

Hunky, OF COURSE I have to repaint him. For the challenge, and also because I have to make him match everything else on my shelf. I've "painted myself into a corner."

I can't quit messing with him! The hands are just phenominal! Sideshow has truly outdone themselves.

A masterful job. And great pictures.

How did you separate the loop part of the belt to get it through the holes?

Josh, doily or no, that is one of the best pics of Legolas yet. The jaw looks much closer to the actual figure there.

Thanks! I can't say enough about how nice a job this new camera does. Maybe it's all in my head on how well its doing but I think the photos are coming out very nice IMO.

I can't wait to photograph Legolas this week, and for those of you who saw my Aragorn design, I'll be putting Legolas into the same format.
