I don't get it. Chinned? Hehe... :lol

Leggy's been taking it on the chin, but he always keeps his chin up, even when the chins are down and life seems like a giant steaming pile of chin.

hmmm anyone had a hard time putting on Lego's quiver? It seems like the strap is way too short to reach the little metal hook on the other side....especially to fit over his cloak.

Just got mine. WOW this is a great piece, better than Aragorn. Those production pics look like a different figure compared to what I got. It actually looks more like Bloom than the prototype. Only faults are the way the 'skirt' splays out (which can be 'fixed' using the stand) and the to big silver shirt. Oh, and the handles and sheaths for the knifes are not painted white they're the same color as the blades. Chin isn't noticable. He is still a great figure. I like how this line hasn't been plagued with the big-head syndrome and I hope it stays that way. I hope Star Wars rectifies this, it makes the figures look that much better and more 'real'. And I noticed the cloak has a hole which the brooch has a peg which was glued in. I'm thinking this was a production mistake.
One more thing that's not about the actual figure, but I'd like to see the packaging start using the magnets (it can be magic instead of the force:D) and stop using the tape too. I'd like something like the Medicom package (excpet without tape outside) the inside tray has big indents on each corner that hold it very secure. More collector friendly.:chew

I notced my quiver is switched around compared to what the package shows.

It took me a second but I got it fairly easily.

Thanks, Josh!

No problem!!

I only wish Leggy's arms would stay in a higher postion. Everytime I try to put his arms up, they go right back down. I still need to find a pose that I like yet. Great fig though!:)

Well, in anticipation of Legolas' Wednesday delivery, here's the Aragorn graphic I came up with that I'll be putting Legolas into among other things.

Got Legolas today :legolas and while its definitely not the proto its still pretty impressive. I had a helleva time getting the arrow to stay drawn though but next to Aragorn he really does look great and make Aragorn look much better. The Broach being off kilter really is bugging me though but I'm definitely thankful I got the Cloak exclusive because it just didn't look right IMHO without. Can't wait for Boromir now.

Yeah Mike, the brooch was definitely a low point. kind of dissapointed with it considering that the elvenstar on aragorn was well done.

Customikey, I can't wait to see what you do to it. I know what you mean about making all your paintjobs 'match'. I can't wait to get this figure, it looks great.... and i would REALLY like to NOT have to resculpt the face... as casting this looks more of a pain than Anakin an Obi-Wan (flexible hair... although I'm attempting it on Qui-Gon just for myself)

So i hope a repaint will do... or maybe a subtle resculpt just for myself with no casts, lol

Anyway... Aragorn is waiting for him. Damn I hate living in the UK :lol

I got my Legolas yesterday. Didn't have time to even open him up but I'm almost scared to. I have a feeling I'm going to hate the changes and his jaw is going to bother the hell out of me.

Loki,
I got Legolas last night, and I don't think you'll have much of anything to worry about. Legolas is as nice as Obi-wan in terms of sculpt. The big chin is really a product of camera lenses, it doesn't appear that way in person at all IMO. The detailing on the outfit is great, the exclusive cloak is awesome, even with the mislaid brooch. I will have to make two minor fixes, one to make some small holes in the cloak to allow the quiver to pass through, and with NSfolsom's help, they will be tiny and unobtrusive, but make him much more screen accurate, and one of the snaps to hold his green leather tunic in place is misaligned, causing the material to bunch. Luckily, I can just leave that unbuttoned, and tighten the belt to hold things in place. Legolas is really amazing, and Sideshow needs to make more figures soon!

Wish I had a good camera to post pics (something I mean to get with income tax...), I just got Legolas yesterday and 'futzed' around with him last night. I think he was a worthy purchase, save for a few quibbles here and there:

-The headsculpt is fine by me. I haven't seen an Orlando headsculpt anywhere near this good on the Toybiz figures, and we all know how many different Leggies they had out there. I see the elongated chin that some folks are having problems with but it doesn't bother me; overall his likeness turned out better than Aragorn.

-The outfit could have been more form-fitting, but then I'm thinking the skinny SS body would make his head look huge by comparison. I'm not as satisfied with the clothing as Aragorn's, but Legolas didn't have as many layers to his costume, either. I like that the wrist bands are easy to remove, because you can't really pose the hands easily without taking them off and putting the arms into position first.

-The cloak is very nice but it bothers me that they included it with him and gave him his Mirkwood bow-- it makes no sense that he would have the cloak and not the other bow and quiver, it's not accurate, but oh well. I punched a hole in the right side of the cloak to make the quiver hang easier and let the cape flow and not look dopey, so not screen accurate but still looks good.

-What's up with the half-sheaths and hilts? They should have been able to make functioning sheaths for his monstrous knives if Aragorn has his 'eating knife' in its sheath.

I'd say he and Aragorn are the same quality, they just score higher in different aspects. Here's hoping a certain Son of Denethor blows them both away.

I give Leggy an 8.

I think everyone in the end will be very pleased with legolas. The in hand photos I think have shown that this figure is pretty cool. For me SS did another great job on this figure.

I was worried about this figure when they published the production photos...but I got mine yesterday...and I must say...AMAZING figure! This is HUG WOW for me...the likeness is VERY good...the chin is hardly noticeable up close...VERY WELL DONE SIDESHOW...can't wait for Faramir and Boromir! Here are some pleliminary photos from the archives at The Green Dragon!
