Don't know if this has been said, but try not to rub the belts against the tunic. Brown flakes got on mine and are a ***** to get off.

Great pic, angry orc...

Legolas really is a superb figure, it's too bad the angels on his face translate so poorly in photography. The likeness is simply incredible, and no picture can really show what it's like to look at it and see it in person. He's just fantastic.

I just got mine in the mail today... very impressive figure. The chin does seem just slightly off, but its really only something you notice if you are really picking. Overall seems like a great figure and (as someone else mentioned) makes Aragorn look better since he now has a context.

I'll get some pics posted once I get him all kitted-out. Now I'm off to find the post that explains how to hook-up his quiver and bow.

Ok I just got home and just had enough time to open Legolas before dinner (it feels like Christmas again, I got T-800 and Sith Probes yesterday, now Legolas and the Rambo bust today :), but I digress) and I will be taking pictures later but wanted to get in on discussion now that I have him. First off, once again, a BEAUTIFUL piece of sculpting by Andy, this portrait is fantastic and the chin issue seems like a mute point in person, however, it is very clear that lighting is the key to how his chin looks and he only looks good under lighting that full captures each side of his face in light or shadow basically, when there's light on the mouth-nose-eye area and shadow near his cheek bones, it creates a very deceiving look to his face, but in my room lighting it's like wow. The outfit looks great and I can't wait to get him into the ""photo studio"" and drop him in for some photoshop fun.

Y'all were so nice about me torturing you with those cartoons, so here are my shots of Legolas. I have NOT repainted or altered him, but I did take a few shots using the DiD bow, which is the Lothlorien version. :D

Excellent photos Customikey! A few of those shots really flatter the hell out of the likeness. I'm loving this thread. :)

I got my figure just yesterday and I have to agree with everyone, this is one of the finest 1/6 scale figures I think I've ever seen. SS out-did themselves imo. Even the paintjob is damn near perfect, I'd planned on having this one possibly repainted but I can't find a single thing I would change.

Thanks, Andy! I'm in the same quandry. The paint apps are just really stellar on Leggy. At the very least, I'm going to re-do the eyes and add some more high and lowlights tothe hair, but I'm not really sure I could improve it much overall. I think I'll hold off until I see what my contemporaries manage. I need inspiration.

As a collector, I don't think I could ask for a better Legolas figure! And I just want to mention again how damned impressed I am with the sculpt, and the number and quality of hands he comes with!! All of these hands are just amazing, and add so much to realism. Kung-Fu grip is dead.

Thanks man!

Here are some shots as I've got him displayed.... I did the cloak-slit thing that another gentlemen did with his earlier in this thread, that was a nice touch.

I like what you did with the extra daggers! I'm almost convinced about this caoe-slitting thing. It'd be the first time I altered an exclusive accessory, though...

Great sculpt Andy, I've loved all of your work in the SW line and now Legolas who is fantastic as well as T-800 and I'll be getting the T-1000 Friday, you have a great gift for capturing not only likeness but emotion in a subtle way that keeps these sculpts neutral for the most part.
