I am not a huge Tome Cruise fan. But I do like his Les Grossman character from Tropic Thunder. Funny stuff, that!

Tom was on the MTV movie awards in character as Les and was as good as he was in TT. The article I read joked about a Les Grossman movie spin-off from TT. I think I would go see it.

I loved the Les Grossman character but I think him in his own movie would be overkill. I don't think he'd be able to hold a whole film on his own. I would though like to see the character pop up in other spots whenever Stiller is doing a film but that's about it.

I think I agree. I would definitely like to see the character again, but maybe supporting parts in other movies would be better.

Sort of like the recurring newspaper.:)

Edit - And if the rest of Tom Cruise's celebrity life was limited to doing Les Grossman support roles in othe people's movies...I think he would be doing everybody a favor.

Yeah.. this reminds me of other failed attempts to make an entire movie/show out of a minor character(s) that are only great in small doses.

Loved the spot on the MTV Movie awards, and in TT - but I doubt he could carry an entire film. As a member of an ensemble, though - that could definitely work.

Tom Cruise and Co. have more sense than to let him do a full feature Les Grossman flick. It would be cool to see him recurring in Ben Stiller, Judd Apatow style movies that have a Hollywood angle in it though.
