It could be that was aim..maybe it was cast fro ma film prop that wasn't used..though I've never heard of ones smaller than the adults in the film. It could also be just an artist's work who copied the general look.

On the topic of JP Raptors.. Galileo has started his 1/1 JP3 Male..I really think I might splurge and get this one...though it will surely cost me an arm and leg for this head.. lol

He is the guy that sculpted the 5 foot long T-Rex that looks like a JP prop?
The kit sells for 1k. Has a price been announced for the raptor bust?

Funny how we were just talking about those Brachs. My sources (read: Jeremy) have acquired some in-progress shots of Shane Foulkes's upcoming Psittacosaurus 1:1 juvenile.

Can't wait to see how he looks with his caudal quills.

Of course his Brach would have better paint detailing than mine..lol

I wondered if Shane had gotten around to sending him update pics or not...looks much better than the last pic on his site. I love the attitude it has..that look in pic pic 2 is very endearing. Just says " you talkin' to me !? . I'll mess you up ! " LOL

Looks like he's getting close to being finished..he told me the 1/15 Allo he wouldn't start skinning for 2 weeks still.

You know I like him without the quills as well...reminds me of the ones I saw in books when I was little.

I wonder how many customers will have the urge to paint this like a red Macaw ? heh heh

The first Psittacosaurus I remember was the Playskool toy, all spattered in bright blue and standing upright.

The aggressive look is due to those projecting brow bones over the eyes, which probably helped deflect sunlight. Lots of ornithopods have them. Check out Rey's illustrations, where they have red eyes and everything. They look seriously menacing.

That's the one notable Psitta I have as well..for some reason I liked to play with it in the pool..I think it was the color. Made me think it lived in or near the water at the time.

I can just see putting this guy at just under eye level..looking up at you with that stare.. lol Makes me wanna put a spiked collar on it. ;D

I was talking to Galileo to the other day..he's doing two Dios..the Rex VS Edmontosaurus and a Gorgosaurus VS Chasmosaurus now. The Chas looks beautiful with all those little details.

I believe that's his first ceratopsian since the JP Trike he did...his new 1/35 scale is working out well it seems.

It actually looks like he's holding a real dinosaur in his hand. Is this considered the new correct brow horn length for Chasmosaurus? I haven't been keeping up.

hey! I think I'll go visit Galileo in two weeks! I want to meet him in person and see all his works infront of me! :hi5:
I dont think I can afford one right now... but later.
:yess:

That looks gorgeous Blade. Galileo is definitely cranking these out. :lol

Tell me about it..the guy does more sculpting in a month than some artist manage all year..lol

I'm not sure myself..but I trust Galileo..he really does his homework and keeps up on current theories.

That would be sweet...if you do make sure and take a lot of pics..I love to see " work shop " photos ! ;D

Of course I will! I will be awesome! one of my best days on my life I can assure that now! =D

Well, it does have forward-facing digits, but that wouldn't be enough to dissuade me personally.

I don't think the nasal horn should be facing forward, either. Anyway, it's still a stunning piece. It's almost frightening to think of someone this talented becoming even more skilled over time. :google
