Somehow this thread turned into a very informative place regarding resin kits and such, and no matter how long and much it takes, I really need to get them someday~~~~

This thread is a great place to discuss anything Dinosaur related, that's not Sideshow related. ;)

Good luck on getting one of these beautiful kits in the future. :)

It looks like Link and Pin Hobbies aka Triceratops Hills Ranch is shutting their doors after all these years.

They are supposed to be listing a lot of stuff on sale and I expect more to later .

Jeremy I noticed they have that 1/20 Lambeosaurus you liked on sale for 197.98..not sure just how good of a deal that is though .

Thanks for the heads up Blade. I'm saving up for Shane's Psittacosaurus right now, so I can't afford it. If they still have any later on, i'll definately pick one up. Do you know how much the kits are originally?

I have a unbuilt Shane Foulkes Carnotaurus with a painting guide written up by Shane if anyone is interested.

Have no idea..that's why I put like I did..I would guess 250.00 ? I think it was pretty large..but they do say you make an offer on any item right now..so go for it bud.

Pic and price would help. ;)

I can email more detailed pics upon request. I bought the kit from Shane about 10 years ago for $145 plus shipping. Not sure what a fair price is today so any advice would be helpful. I guess I did attach the neck and leg. Don't remember doing that. Drunk modeling maybe?

I've seen this one built up before :

It's a great piece, but I'm kinda happy Carnotaurs-wise with the Sideshow beast...now if you had McVey's Carno I'd have a problem..lol

It should be worth at least what you paid for it to the right collector.

Nope, no McVey carnotaurus but I do have an unbuilt life size_Bird of Prey:_Dromaeosaurus bust from Mike Trcic. I use to be so into paleo art, but the interest faded over the years and I am down to only five remaining kits

Yup, that's the one. I stopped collecting paleo kits a while back, so I have to assume the few I have a retired. The others are:
McVey's T-Rex "In Pursuit" NFS :)
Horizon JP T-rex from the SWS molds NFS :)
Horizon JP Dilophosaurus from the SWS molds
and another life size Raptor bust from an unknown maker bought from an ebay seller in the UK

I think Disney bought a full body one for their Dinosaur attraction...beautiful piece.

The McVey Rex you have is quite sought after, the Horizon JP Rex isn't rare though..they do up on eBay regularly...same for the Dilophosaurus..I bought two of those. The Velociraptor is the most valuable Horizon JP kit.

Do you have prices in mind for the two Raptors ? I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the UK one you mentioned..maybe we can I.D. it for you.

Yup, the full body version outside the Dinosaur attraction in Disney (use to be called Countdown to Extinction) is what got me started with my obsession in paleo art. I went nuts the first time I saw that thing and even went to the client relations desk to ask if they had more info on the piece and the artist, but they just said every thing in the park is created by their imaginers. I started searching the internet the second I got home, but my heart sank when I saw the 50K price tag. Was so stoked when Mike made the resin bust available. I will try and post pic tonight of the unknown raptor bust. I have been curious about who made it for a long time. Have never seen anther copy of it since

On a side note. The Paleo Garden outside the Dinosaur attraction in Disney is beyond cool. Every Paleo Art enthusiast should try and see it at least once.

I've seen lots of pics of it..if I ever get to Disney it will be on my list for sure...then I have to go to the T-Rex Cafe to eat.. heh heh ;D

I LOVE lifesize Dinosaurs...just can't afford them !

I don't get much time to build kits like I did, so I end up having to pay someone else to fix it up for me..not always a bad thing but expensive. Means I have to factor that into the price of the kits I get. :(

Well it's def a Jurassic Park Velociraptor..I've seen one sell on eBay but they didn't where it came from either. I did see one painted when I looking through Google Images..I'll check and see if I can find it.

Did this one come from a guy in the U.K. named Gavin by any chance ?
