Lifesized PredAlien bust

What is this made of? the Wolf bust was 51 lbs but this is only 20 lbs. 1/2 the weight but almost twice as big. if anyone at the Con heard any info on this question, please lmk. I'm gonna have to give SS a call to clear up a few concerns before I take the plunge on this. I'm afraid that at this price and being as light weight as it seems it will be available for awhile.

Regarding the Ironman maquette:

I think the weight of this piece being only 25 lbs might be a mistake from Sideshow. They've been listing the wrong weight on some of the new orders lately. Here's one example: the Zangief PF is listed at only 10 lbs, however, Jerry confirmed that it was a mistake and that it's actually over 30 lbs.

Edited post above. With Wolf, I could handle him easily before I put the dreads on him. Once you attach them all though, he puts on about 15kgs. I'd imagine this is going to be hollow?

I wouldn't be surprised if places are a bit hesitant to carry it. Its not like AVPR sells that well. The original Wolf bust (that cost a LOT less) is still widely available and discounted, and the bios have not had that much success either, so picking up an even more niche and expensive item probably doesnt sound all that appealing.

Put it in to perspective. A life size Darth Vader bust, a HUGELY popular character from one of the most POPULAR series of all time worldwide (with an extremely RABID fanbase, I might add) that has an intricate fully removable helm just got announced (which I'm sure also cost an INSANE amount in licensing fees) at the same price...

how is it that this piece requires a deposit, but not the 1/2 scale IM maquette that makes no sense at all, and now i am thinking i might wait until this piece starts shipping, this deposit ^^^^ is BS SS can completely change it if they want and it could look nothin like the proto as far as paint app goes, and then you lose $250 just like that

Yes Sir... I'm waiting on some info from Joe about this before I take the plunge. I'm thinking I'll wait until it's released to see it first hand. I mean with the Vader EX bust still available after this long, with it's fan base...

preorder place here in the UK, no deposite required and although probably more expensive it removes the £-$ issue........I think I have even found a solution of where to place it as well.....on top of a detolf alongside my 1:1 Aliens bust

Have to say that is a really amazing looking bust, not something I would ever plunk down the $$$ for (that $1250 is going to the Vader bust) but still a very awesome bust.

I'm really liking this bust. I think it will complent my Predator CM that I have coming very well. I really going to to try to queeze one of these in around tax time.
