I am wracking my brain over Detolf's, custom made cases like this, attempting to make my own, selling pieces to make room for others...etc. At those dimensions it doesn't look like they would accomodate any of the HT MMS with backdrops like GodFather, Bruce Lee, upcoming Indiana Jones, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions for those big SOB's? I will tell you, if you made a case to accomodate those caddy corner stands and backdrops and had a forum member discount, I'd order 4 right now. I'm sure a ton of other members would as well. Beautiful job on this!

Just placed an order for one of these! I saw one in person at Frank & Sons and thought it looked fantastic. Going to be displaying my HT T2 T-800 Arnie in it.

Alright! Just got this case in from Maybang too and he asked me to also get the word out on them. I was in a rush to make a video and do some quick pics, so I didn't have time to properly clean the sides of the case which resulted in lots of smudges and glare. I think I'll have to pick up some Acrylic or Plastic cleaners later on as I know Windex and any other Ammonia based cleaners will make it worse.
Anyhow, here are some pics just to see how a single figure looks in the display. Please also view my video on YouTube to see how it looks with more than one figure inside.

Excellent review and video :clap These cases are solid. I will have some of my pics up soon. BTW, I'll post pics of the cases with the red and blue LED you mentioned in your video as well.

Okay, finally got off my lazy butt and opened up the case. Had it in my possession for a week now but just too busy to open it. Must say this is a very cool display. Here are the pictures:

Very classy looking display cases. It is best to display it lit in a bright room with the lights on. Glad I picked up an extra one for the DX Jack Sparrow.

Any tips on cleaning it? I guess I'm a bonehead and I need some help from people who have them!

I just got my case (it came so quick, I dont even have the figure to put inside of it yet!) and tried my hardest to clean it.
It looks fine with the lights turned off, but once I turn the lights on, it looks really foggy. I've cleaned it inside and out three times now with the included cleaning cloth and water and it still doesn't look that different from when I first pulled it out of the box.
Here is a pic.
It isnt quite that foggy in person (it's just a cell phone picture), but it doesnt look even close to how clean yours look, turtle.

I used an acrylic cleaner and polish spray to clean mine. You can get them at any acrylic supplier place. I spent a good ten minutes cleaning the inside and outside. Keep in mind that in a really dark room, it will tend to look a bit foggy due to the strong LED lighting. Best way to display the case is in a moderately lit room with the LED lights turned on.

Thank you :) Do they sell acrylic cleaner/polish spray at general stores like Walmart or Target?
I wouldnt know where to begin to find an acrylic supply store.

Not too sure on that one. But you can always hit up Amazon:

Home depot has acrylic cleaners as well. They have their acrylic parts hidden in the door section at my HD as they are meant to be parts for stormdoors

:borg:

@turtle- Great pics all around! This really is a cool display case, especially for that extra special collector piece that you might want to highlight on it's own or with just a few other pieces that you can fit in.
@Blackout & Geil- Thanks for info on the acrylic cleaners. Mine was also a bit foggy with the LEDs on in the dark, so I wanted to look into cleaning it properly with the right type of cleaners. A bit disappointing initially, but with some good cleaning it should be fine. As turtle mentioned, it does seem best in a moderately lit room with the LEDs on. I'm enjoying mine just fine with the LEDs off in a decently lit room.

Edgelit acrylic can be very meaningful and something I keep in mind for some future projects e.g.
- "lit up" images on the acrylic using blacklight ink which I am going to try for my Tron setup
- beam/transporter/forcefield look
For normal presentation using this case I imagine disabling the front LEDs could improve the presentation.

Please, please, oh please make these accomodate 1/6 diorama/backdrops. Maybe it's better you didn't, my wallet needs a vacation. Excellent job.
