Freaked Out
Yeah count me up on the deluxe too so I can finaly sell the CCToys duo
Thank yall for going with the remake instead of Part II, I really like part II but honestly Part I is where its at, and Joel from the first one just looks much better then Part II, just my personal opinion. I probably would not have bought Joel from the 2nd one.Yup, the figures will be based on the remake, as far as previews we want to play the game and then fix anything that might be wrong but we might show the sculpts once they're done.
I dont really understand the problem you have with the moving eyes itself. If you dont want to use the moving eyes just… don’t? The seams will be hidden so you wont be able to tell it even has moving eyes.Idk how everyone else feels, but I'm just not a big fan of moving eyes, I'm a "vanilla" kind of person when it comes to posing and/or making my figures come to life and what not. Would there be a chance to get an alternate head with out the eyes moving? Just watched a review on the INART Joker from the dark knight and just not a fan of having to remove a part of the head just make some eyes move. If that's the only route though for this figure I am still in for the love of the game, and no way am I passing on such a thing either. Just voicing my opinion is all thank y'all for everything y'all do!
It’s not that I have problem with the actual moving eyes, I don’t plan on using them, I just have really bad OCD tendencies when it comes to my figures. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and if I don’t have the eyes perfectly where they’re supposed to be at I’ll dwell on itI dont really understand the problem you have with the moving eyes itself. If you dont want to use the moving eyes just… don’t? The seams will be hidden so you wont be able to tell it even has moving eyes.
The only figure I have with moving eyes is Alita. I do sometimes struggle to get her to look “right”. Like sometimes she looks with this very empty stare I cant quite explain it and I have to adjust the eyes to make it more lively. But I think this mostly happens because she has these very big anime eyes. The inart joker doesnt seem to have that problem with normal human eyes.
I think moving eyes are a cool addition. But it’s a bit of a niche thing that I don’t really see myself using much. I find it more important to have one neutral straightforward looking sculpt and a second expressive option like an angry sculpt. The secondary sculpt can have the eyes in a different position, like looking up or to the side.
I also feel like if not having moving eyes means there is more budget for additional accessories or other parts of the figure can be higher quality because of it than I’d way rather have that over the eye gimmick.
The whole thing just reminds me of light up eyes on superhero heads. Like I turn it on, snap a pic. Tell myself “cool”. And then forget about it for the next two years.
i have that sculpt too and they all look like that . Im considering smashing it up to make a battle damaged part 2 version if you know what I mean. This is what I had to deal with when I made my custom Joel. I got the head off Ebay and the eyes were super wack, luckily i found someone who fixed them for me.

I had the unpainted version of that sculpt (also ebay). I tried repainting it so many times! But this thing is so uneven, horribly printed that it's literally un-paintable. The eyes were also printed uneven on my sculpt. Eventually got so frustrated I ended up tossing it into the trash. lolThis is what I had to deal with when I made my custom Joel. That sounds like an awful time trying to paint it I would have done the same thing though, definitely thrown it in the trash. I hate that it’s the only Joel head you can find anywhere, thank God for Lim giving us something way betterI had the unpainted version of that sculpt (also ebay). I tried repainting it so many times! I would HATE dealing with separate moving eyes I would probably sit there for hours trying to match them up and make em perfect.Gonna get Deluxe and Regular bc why not?!View attachment 619864

Only figure I have with moving eyes for now is Woody from Toy Story and you have no idea how many times I touched him for the exact reason. lol His eyes move separately so it is truly hard to make a position right. I'm sure Lim is smart and makes connected eyes so they gonna move together. I like moving eyes, especially if they gonna use glass ones with dimensional iris, instead of painted on. It makes them look alive. I think with Joel and Ellie it will work well, as when we put them side to side, they can side glance to each other, which gonna look very cool.
Got mine also from ebay and he looks just fine. Not that I do not need the deluxe version that I will buy for sure. This is what I had to deal with when I made my custom Joel. I got the head off Ebay and the eyes were super wack, luckily i found someone who fixed them for me.
That's not that custom head, it's the CCToys Joel sculpt which was mass produced and properly cast.Got mine also from ebay and he looks just fine. Not that I do not need the deluxe version that I will buy for sure.
