We're still doing the clothes, we got back our most recent test clothes yesterday and they look really good, still not 100% there but only a few small fixes to do now, stuff like making Joel's collar smaller and changing some minor details.

All the accessories are done but need to be printed and painted, their sculpts will be finished next year, we won't be announcing them so soon in the hopes they sell better after the holidays period, I would say a March announcement to coincide with the ending of the show and PC release is likely.
Seems well thought out! I’m looking forward to it!

Awesome update! March is a good time to release. Ideally, most ppl will have/should have recuperated from the holiday spending at that point :lol

Didn't get to the premier of the show last night and will this week, so I can't speak to it myself just yet, but I'm seeing nothing but praise and rave reviews from everyone who watched it so far. Very promising for the show, and definitely could be beneficial to LIM if they can get these figures to pre-order while the show is still airing. Hopefully that will give them a nice little bump. No doubt there will be people who put the Hot Toys Pedro sculpt and put it on this one for a show look.

Very excited for new 1/6 figures of these two.

The first episode of the show was great and we also have the remaster of the first game coming to PC in March. Can't wait!

Any updates you can share, @R_R_X? I know Dutch and Nate are coming first, but with the show out and there being a ton of buzz around the franchise, can't hurt to get some hype around the figures. One of my friends is on Reddit, and she was telling me there's been a ton of people asking if there's a chance of TLOU figures coming from Hot Toys or InArt this week, so I think you guys might have a bunch of new customers for these.

The plan is to have them announced in March to coincide with the ending of the show and PC release, since the cat is already out of the bag on the Facebook group I will confirm we will be pulling out all stops on these two, we are developing rolling eyes for both with magnetic necks, seperate hair parts for the sculpts, as well as seamless magnetic right arms for Joel like we are doing for Nate, no magnetic hand joints because we are not confident in the structural integrity of those especially for holding heavier objects and our bases will remain the same with a crotch grabber for similar reasons and because we also prefer having sculpted enviroments on them and not flat surfaces.

This is good. Based on my experience with Kaustic Plastick's useless (paper sticker topped) John Wayne magnetic base, I never want the misfortune of another magnetic base.

It went into a cupboard after proving wholly ineffective in keeping The Duke upright, but might as well have gone straight in the bin.

Can't beat a nice secure old fashioned stand, especially if it has some sculpted sculpted detail.

Are the winter outfits still in consideration for both Joel and Ellie? Or maybe as an additional separate accessories pack?

Can't wait for both of these two and Nathen!

Excellent all around. Seems rolling eyeballs are the new standard in the sixth scale game. I certainly trust you guys to pull it off on your first attempt. I was wary after the Asmus debacle on Gandalf the Grey, but I think everyone across the board learned from that.

My one concern - and it's a legitimate question and not a complaint - would be able the magnetic arms and necks. I understand the allure - certainly easier to get the pieces on and off when swapping out clothes, but is there any reason to believe the magnets might weaken over time and cause problems with the figure's longevity? Always seemed like a possibility, but you guys would know better than I would.

Are Joel/Nate still going to have wrist peg options or are you just going fully with the seamless magnetic route?

Just found out about these. I thought you were only doing 1/12 scale version. Definitely interested in these. Will there be a 2 pack?

There isn't really any spoilers, but as for the first episode:
I thought it was pretty good, but not great. The stuff that was from the game was really good, but I keep seeing people praising it as a 1 for 1, faithful adaptation, which isn't the case. There's a bunch of added stuff, which was fine, but was also filler and could've been cut out. There's many changes that were made, some small, some big and I don't think any of them were necessary and shouldn't have made. I liked the beginning a lot and the additions they made to that. While I liked the episode, I'm still very cautious going forward, because of the changes already made and are to come.

You’re confused. These figures will be based on the game not the show

Agreed, we actually studied the magnetic base a while back because we want to do it for our Connor and what we found is that trying to cover the whole base is magnets is damn espensive unfortunately, 2 magnets like what InArt did is viable but won't allow for many dynamic poses and for the figure to properly stand on the base without wobbling we need a mgnet that covers a large part of the shoes and more flat surfaces, so we'd rather keep the old method with more varied bases.

Yes they are in consideration and being made for the prototypes however we're not sure how or if we should include them.

We're using the same factory Hot Toys uses to cast their heads, I'm confident we will pull off the rolling eyeballs with no issues and if there are we won't release a bad product, Arthur's hair took several recasts and attempts before we were able to achieve the effect we wanted with no visible gap and we'll do the same for the eyes just keep in mind there has to be some room for the eyes to move freely.

We've studied and done proper research with our factories, we believe the best method for the neck will be something like Hot Toys has done for Venom or Darth Maul, as far as the arms it shouldn't be a problem since our design has a plot for the magnet to stay in the arm and the connection should be snug anyway, the main concerns with magnets isn't longevity, that can be rectified with quality strong magnets, the concern is magnets have a tendency to fall even with strong glue, especially smaller magnets.

Nate and Joel will still have regular arms with standard hand joints and only interchangeable right seamless arms like previously discussed and agreed on, this is because they both have a watch and there's no way to put them on seamless arms, the good thing is they cover the joint so the look of the figure will still look seamless, of course if there's other characters in the future who can use the seamless arms and don't have watches we'll do both arms and things could change in production, again I would suggest just waiting for the announcement to see the full thing.

Fingers crossed for the winter outfits. Worse case, if they can't be included with the base set for the two, maybe having them be a separate pack would be possible?

Would love to get them so that I can weather it with some fake snow.

I second this hope! I kit-bashed 1/6 Joel and Ellie figures years ago and don't plan to replace them with LIM's versions unless they really blow me away (which, honestly, I'm expecting they will), but I would definitely be in for a "Winter" clothes/accessories pack to update my current figures and give them some variety on the shelf. Or, you know, I'll be much more tempted to buy the figures if they include the winter items! ;)

Now you made me curious. What do your kitbashes look like?
