If this were signed by Pablo, Martin, Andy, Ray and all the other awesome sculptors then I'd buy this. But not by art directors.

This is exactly the same reason why I am not interested in the catalog. IT is missing many significant sculptor's signitures. I don't think I even saw Oluf in the listing.

With most of the sculptors working from many different parts of the globe, I'm not sure if it would have been practical to get all their signatures.

Outstanding Batty!! I damn near choked on my pop.

OK, since the rest of you have tastefully refrained from asking Josh the obvious question this comment begs, I shall, in the interests of decorum, do likewise! :D

Speaking of pop, I just tried some "Berries and Cream Dr. Pepper."

I liked it. Not as much as good old "Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper," but still good.

It should be pointed out that this book is more like a production book than a traditional catalog. You've seen it online probably - there are lots of articles, and additional items besides just photos of product.

Of course, they'll let just about anybody write an article these days...

Kidding!!! (I liked yours!)

At this price, I'd be more interested if it was ALL the unique pages of each catalogue displayed in order, signed by all including the artists, tailors, and design team, with a few plastic sleeve pages in the back with the DVDs included.

THAT, my friends, would be the ultimate Sideshow Collectible.

that would be nice if they included all the dvds..

I wrote Customer Service and asked them if there was any way I could get copies of the DVDs. They turned me down. :monkey2

I was hoping to get all of the old ones that I had missed and the new ones as well. Sadly, I can't help that me pre-orders tend to ship individually, and they only include DVDs in orders of more than one figure.

That sux....I have DVD 3 and 4...but I would like to have any others that have come out...for my $100 bucks they should send me the DVDs just for sh*ts and giggles.....

i would so love it if this catalog actually shows all products made so far. like the little weta one. but then with so many lines and products it's going to be one thick encyclopedia like book. but for $100 i say it's worth it if that's the case

am i right to say that the only difference between the limited edition and the normal one are: the signatures, numbered and binding?

it would be sweeter if it has some more exclusive features compared to the normal catalog. like say some extra articles or pics for example.

What is this Weta catalog you refer to? I've not heard of it. Is/was it readily avaliable?

I too only have #3 and #4. Does anybody know if the DVD #1 or #2 has any material on their POTA 12" line? I would love to have the "turnarounds" of the prototypes... especially Dr. Zaius. :monkey3

Yeah, no BIG surprise there.

As for the catalog... I'm really on the fence. It would be GREAT to have a quality copy of the catalog (since they did use my quote :D ), but I think I would rather spend that money on my continuing quest for a 12" Human Spike or the Vampire Angel. :monkey5 :monkey5

Plus, I still have all of those Star Wars 12" pre-orders to pay for!!!:horror :horror :horror

I have the following DVDs:

SS/SW DVD
SDCC 05 DVD
DVD #3
DVD #4

The SDCC one should have the POTA exclusive from last year other than that I don't think they do.

this weta catalog actually shows all lotr weta pieces produced quite up to date when it was published i believe. of course there were more that were made and released since then. from what i know, they were only available in NZ. i think they were only given to the retailers in NZ from sideshow NZ.

i got mine from ebay, there were quite a few copies on sale then. doesnt seem to be on ebay currently though. some pics i've taken of mine below.
