Advice needed. Should I get the sideshow UC3 figure for $250 to use with lims headsculpt? Good deal or pass?
I love my UC3 Nathan. The only issue for me is the colour of the head sculpt - I've owned mine since it was newly released by Sideshow, and no issues at all with pleather deterioration. Not sure about how competitive the $250 pricetag is, but I'll be doing exactly as you mentioned - spare head sculpt from my Limtoys (en route!) to use with UC3 Nate. The clothes are great, the body is great - just that bizarrely dark skin complexion.

Kit told me he’ll let Lim know about the paint chip. Facial defects aren’t allowed in my collection. I’m very picky. If Lim sends a replacement they’ll most likely ask me to destroy the sculpt, so Nate destroyed sculpt gonna join InArt Aragorn sculpt in my horror jar. I haven’t bought 3 tor this. All of them must be as perfect as possible. :lecture

P.S. paint chips have become an issue since last year. It started with InArt Aragorn, then Soo Soo Geralt and now this. Haven’t experienced that before.

I must be very forgiving, or the photos don't show it, but I don't see anything on the pics that would concern me 🤷‍♂️

I'm honestly struggling to see it myself. Not saying it's not there, I just am not sure where the chip is based on the photo.
There. Plastic underneath shows. Changed the contrast hope you see it now.

I see it, but I personally wouldn't be upset, IF it was something I did to it. Receiving anything new that costs that much that is damaged is a no no.
Agreed. That’s how it was straight out of the box. If I got just one and it was like that, I’d make a bigger noise lol there’s no reason to accept such issues on a brand new figure. As I remember someone else had same issue on the arms.
I also remember RRX said he was worried about quality control. Of course it should be me who gets a facial chip 😂

Since it's part of the eyebrow that's rubbed off it's a rather easy fix luckily. If you'd like to give it a try:
1 or 2 very thin layers of Flesh Wash and 1 equally thin layer of Dark Wash should make this chip unnoticeable.
The real problem are chips or visible flaws on the skin itself. Those are very hard to fix since it's almost impossible to ever get the skin tone right... You almost always see the transition point and you'd have to repaint the entire face in the end...

are the blood scratches game accurate or random artistic expression? adding blood or bruises on that spot probably makes it better.
