Yeah I thought so too, right? I personally love the 1899 sculpt it looks just like in the game I'm surprised to hear they will rework the whole sculpt along with the hair...

There are ppl in every collector group, who complain basically about everything, these ppl usually don't buy anything, they just complain.

Yeah, absolutely adored the sculpts especially the one I wanted to go along with Arthur, the younger one. Perfect sculpt... but if we think about it, Lim knows best what they are doing and it can only get better if they chose to remake them.

It sounds like John got a lot bad feedback on the Chinese forums specifically, I'm guessing BBICN was one of them.
Heck, they're even complaining how Damtoys upcoming Ada looks nothing like her.

My concern here is that I loved what you’ve shown and based on those pics I preordered two. Now I’m worried I won’t like this updated version as much.

Seriously excited for John, most people are really excited for inArt joker I'm here daily dying over this. I come here daily just to look at the pictures and enjoy the details, can't wait to get him and I'm really really excited to see how the new sculpts will look!

Here's one of the many improvements we're doing to the Cowboy according to your feedback.

We're resculpting the hair with finer detail and more accuracy, the head sculpt will be slightly reworked to achieve a better likeness and we will also improve the tailoring on the clothes.

Our goal is to deliver a figure superior to the prototype like we've always strive to do so we look forward to sharing more updates with all of you.

I think it looks great. When revising the RDR1 'older John' sculpt, to me it would make sense to use this one as a base, then sculpt on extra wrinkles so it looks like an older version of how you've shown it here, rather than attempt to match the RDR1 game model which did look very different because of the older game graphics. The structure of the face was different between the two games. Just my 2 cents.

Sculpt already looks amazing on the proto, but this one looks even better!
