Idiots and haters aside, I think the answer is we’ll see it soon, not just 2025.

Adding up the pieces -

We were told that John would release soon after Nate. Nate’s release is imminent and will be out in January.
We’ve seen production pieces of John and I believe it was stated that accessories were being cast.
We were told the sickly Arthur sculpt would release with John - I believe it was said that was done.

All things considered John likely won’t get out before the CNY which would be huge bummer but at this point a spring release doesn’t feel like an unreasonable guess.

Maybe R_R_X can graciously tell us if the box is being worked on yet or not. If not, we’re definitely still a few months away. But I’d be very willing to guess it’ll be out and in our homes before the summer.
The box is done, the art for it was actually done a while ago. Clothes are going through some final revisions now, those have been substantially improved over the prototype.

@R_R_X Do you know if the Cowboy will receive another wave? I checked with Kit earlier and he did not know. He is who I would typically order from, but if you know somewhere else legitimate I could order from I'd be okay with that as well.

I still have a "preorder" in with Kit for an Arthur - beginning to think a fourth (?) round isn't coming, but not sure if it's even possible to cancel a preorder and get a refund.

I’m confused.

First of all - if you only paid your deposit with Kit, no you wouldn’t get that back if cancelling. Deposits in this hobby are always non-refundable. If you paid more than that, Kit is always fair and will return your money.

Secondly, why isn’t the next wave of Gunslinger coming? There’s absolutely no reason to think it won’t release,

Hopefully I can help explain. My preorder has been in for ages, with no updates at all on a new batch, and everything seems to be geared towards the John figure. It's not unreasonable to start believing that there is no "next wave".
If a figure is cancelled, or just not happening, it's not unreasonable to get a deposit back (I've been collecting 1/6 for the best part of 20 years).

Kit is getting more as I also have another order with kit and he posted 20% received so hang in there.

I'm sure it will, you could also ask Kit to let you know if one becomes available when the figure is released, there's always people that don't pay their deposit.

When did you pre-order? The fourth batch started being released at the end of 2024, Kit got a percentage of the orders and will be receiving more in due time. The Gunslinger has been reissued pretty much every year and it likely won't stop so soon, so you could either wait or not pay the deposit whenever Kit charges it, he's been pretty clear on where he stands with his NRD policy as of late.

Ordered mid-2024, paid the NRD. If more are coming then that's fine - just haven't heard anything (at all) for a while, whilst all the chatter seems to have switched to the John figure.

You're good then, I believe Kit ships according to order numbers so you must be further down the list since you pre-ordered only a few months before the 4th batch started being shipped.

I don't know how long you've been collecting sixth scale for (pointing this out as it says you joined here in mid-2024), but this is normal.

Take Hot Toys for example. They just released their Sabine Wren figure from the Ahsoka show that started airing in August 2023. Since that (and other figures from that show) got announced, there's been a ton of other Star Wars stuff that got put out there and discussed. You almost forget you have something on order, then it releases and you pay your invoice and it shows up a few days later. And they're the pedestal of this hobby.

People are mostly talking about John because most of the people waiting for him have Arthur already and are just waiting on something new. Lim does take a long time, but they deliver. And even if for some reason they didn't, Kit is the best in the business and wouldn't legitimately screw his customers.

You'll definitely get your Arthur figure, the anticipation is just elsewhere at this point, which again, is normal for this hobby.

@R_R_X Thanks for the info! I remember the Gunslinger was up for pre order for a while and I finally bit the bullet and ordered. The cowboy didn't seem like it was that long ago, but maybe time has went quicker than I thought. I did message Kit as well, but had no luck. He didn't really have any information, other than to watch Facebook. If they have any, they will be posted there. I just created a Facebook account this morning for that reason lol.

I joined CF in 2024, that's true, as I specifically wanted to communicate with and buy from one member - but as a somewhat grizzled 50 year old I've been collecting models and figures for decades.

With 1/6 figures I'm used to delays from Sideshow where I've done most of my buying over the years, but they do tend to update you, and allow refunds on supposed NRD when things drag on too long (still waiting for my Regula One Saavik, for example!).

I haven't bought from Onesixth before, or bought an unofficial release (other than via eBay) so the lack of any updates has been a touch disconcerting.

Even official releases, unfortunately, don't always go smoothly. Big Chief Studios screwed an awful lot of people out of an awful lot of money when they fell behind and then just closed up shop out of nowhere. They had the James Bond and Doctor Who licenses and some collectors lost thousands of dollars in pre-orders that will never come.

Unfortunately, as with any business, there's always a gamble of putting money down on something you don't or won't have yet. And because of their slow release time Lim has certainly attracted their haters, there's always talk of them going out of business or having closed up, which just simply isn't true, it's people being mad they haven't gotten their figure yet.

Kit is the absolute best in the business, I actually stopped ordering things from Sideshow years ago and just go through him. I always get my stuff sooner than people who ordered through Sideshow, my boxes are packed more securely than from Sideshow, and I don't have to worry about my reward points expiring with Kit, therefore I can often cover the cost of a deposit on a pre-order with points, which is great.

You're in good hands with Kit. Yes, he will keep your NRD but he keeps his prices low on his figures and takes in very small margins. I think he only keeps a few dollars in profit per order. So you'll get great service and fair pricing but you do lose a few bucks if you cancel. In my mind, the peace of mind I get with Kit is worth it.

Yes, it was a real shame about Big Chief - I have the Sean Connery Dr No and Roger Moore Live and Let Die and they are great. Luckily I didn't have or want anything else from them - but it's always a shame when a company goes bust and people lose their jobs.

I'm not suggested Lim are in the same boat as Big Chief, or likely to disappear - my only concern was that Arthur had already had 3 waves of release, so would the 4th actually appear - it looks like it is happening, so of course I'll be keeping my preorder.

With regard to Sideshow, you pays your money you takes your choice - I've always had great service from them, never had any boxes damaged in transit, and I personally prefer the reassurance of protected payments via PayPal and the level of customer service support I've had from SS, over buying through Onesixth and saving a few pounds.
