looking for collectors/dealers in india

You might just be better off buying from China or other parts of Asia. Hopefully the shipping isn't to bad from those countries.

Besides the occasional DC and Marvel figures (mostly based on the movies), I don't find any good figures in stores (here in Bangalore). And shipping costs just prevents me buying some of the bigger figures and statues.

Look for Action Figure Collectors (in orkut) for more collectors from India (including pics of collections)

I am thinking of visiting the Singapore Toy & Comic Convention in August, hopefully there will distributors selling some of the cool figures released this year. The flight ticket prices are usually so low, that it's cheaper to visit the con and pick some of the bigger statues, rather than getting it internationally shipped from US.

Bombay has this store called Avenger's Toys Club. In Bandra, just opposite Hawaiin Shack. The guy the the only distributer for Mcfarlane Toys in India. You should check it out. He stocks a lot of good stuff. Its limited, but decent. The prices are on the higher side, but thats expected. I bought a series 31 Commando Spawn from there for around Rs.1700.

I'm actually on the lookout for the old G.I.JOE and He-Man toys Funskool used to make. I got some off the new line, and they were terrible. I know the old ones are still in circulation, so its just a matter of looking at the right place. Unfortunately, I'm in Bangalore for the time being. I won't be back in Bombay till Dec. So it'll have to wait till then. I guess I'll just do some importing.

hey man,thanx a lot....good to know theres someone in india whose into this hobby...i swear by hot toys products so i usually get most of my stuff from hongkong,shipping costs kill but i think the products more than make up for it....i've heard about the store u mentioned but i haven'tgot around to checking it out as yet..u should get in touch once ur in bbay man

good luck finding the LEO He-man figures I was able to find a few in New Delhi and Amritsar last time I went but ended up paying a little more than I wanted to. They are extremely scarce.

hi im from india as well, started collecting nov 2010, until then its been only hasbro transformers, bandai dragonball , ben 10 , mattel dark knight figures , i wanted to buy hot toys and sideshow but lack of credit card was a issue and once i got one, i just want to all my old collection, the only ones i like looking at are the justice league unlimited fig

Because he was a fraud, he's the kind of guy who made it difficult for collectors here to trust Indians by cheating them. Thankfully those he scammed got heir money back by filing a claim.

And your necropost revival should serve as a reminder for fellow Indian freaks...

The exact reason why SS requires me to go thru certain type of hassle before even accepting a credit card issued in India. And why I've to think twice before taking a step into Freakland. So is there anyone who has experienced the wrath of Customs? Cuz, I really really want a lot of stuff!

Great. I'm yet to get my Credit Card though it may be any day now. Anyways, what have you collected so far? And from where?
I'm into TFs as well. And in JLU, I've got Lobo, Darkseid n Kalibak though I plan to complete that collection eventually.
