Looking to buy a new TV...neEd help!

It was 17 years old..big MF too, I forgot how much it weighed until I moved it last night..

right now I'm looking at...

Insignia 50"

Panasonic 50"

Samsung 50"

If anyone has any words of advise on these I'd really appreceate it. I'm also wondering if I realy need the USB port on the tv or not.

Get one that is a 1080p!

I went with the Samsung 50" I got it for $699 (price matched amazon)

After some futzing with the controls I'm a happy camper.

I do have a question though... I see now that some programs don't fill the screen and some do. will the black bars on the ones that don't cause any issues in the long run??

and yes ween, I bought protection...

I dont see the black bars being an issue unless you watch the exact same program for 24 hours straight
