anyone think he looks too shiny? i got the WL conversion but am still on the fence with this one ... better make up my mind quick! ~$400, all-in to canada is a tough one to swallow.

He's not too shiny at all. My pics were taken with a flash and it shows shine. Don't go by my pics. Get someone who can take pics without a flash.
I wouldn't cancel.

I like the shine. It enables a bit more definition than if it were matt.

Edit. I just read the other thread. Sucks major butt for your collection King. I mean, where do you/can you go from here.

ya you're right there. lighting will be a little more important with this one, and the gloss will help for sure, just looks more vinyl/plastic than flesh ... although i wouldn't imagine the lord to be made of flesh and bone regardless ... anyways, not a problem.

Damn, King, now I have to go back and look at my LSB. It's a replacement, too. After seeing some of the pics for this piece I was tempted to get on the waitlist, but I would probably just get one that was returned.

After paying the ~$325 retail plus ship and adding another $35 in pp/eBay fees, I don't think you get a buyer thAt will pay more than $400-$450 plus ship for this. Is it worth the risk/hassle for $40-$90? Legend just doesn't have a big following.


I hope Meg doesn't do this. I like the es on that one and would be great companion piece to my darkness pf, which is what this was supposed to be.

... ah man now i have to go and unbox my 2 reds to inspect closer ... what other pieces are having these paint issues? seeing how i'm going into the dungeon to wade through SSC boxes i may as well check the other potential problems as well

Man I sure hope the flaking problem doesn't happen to this one, I really love the look of it and the edition size is a plus but if it's ready to ship then I doubt they made any change to the way it was painted, we can only hope it went through a different painting process...although i don't see why it would.

Be sure to do a VERY VERY close inspection on the horns. I missed the cracks the first time I checked a couple days ago, they may have even been there when I first got it in

you think it's paint problem with the horns or an actual structural problem? they seemed really light and 'thin' when i first got it. of course any heavier and the lord would topple but i wonder if they are moving/bending/warping over time because of the material used ...

just got on the ladder and checked the one i've had on display and the horns are fine although inside the 'horn sockets' on the skull, the paint is cracking, but nowhere else on the exterior itself. guess i'll keep my fingers crossed. i'll check the other boxed one tomorrow.

Ironman life size bust, which I think Everyone knows.

hmmm. bunk. i'll keep an eye on these guys. i'm going to cancel my black today, so good luck to someone out there on the WL! if one of my reds starts falling apart (hopefully only one!), i decided last night that i'll just airbrush the falling apart one into the black version and give him some glowing eyes ... save $400 and a defective red ... if it comes to that.
