Its hard to find an evil planning room. I had to make due. I thought the ponies added the irony.

I just love the fact that the candidate they championed was the closest thing there is to a real-life version of an Imperial who also works for a Dark Lord (Soros), yet they think they're the rebels lol

Don't ruin the echo chamber.

All roads eventually lead to a takeover by soros, BLM, Hollywood liberals, colleges, big government, the mainstream media, or antifa. They are the topics of irresisitable force for select handful.

Are u saying soros doesnt pay these groups? Or has influence over them???

Didnt survivor already had this?
An island full of guys and an island full of girls? Where it went terrible for the girls?

They've already done it as a play with all girls. I didn't care that much for the all boys version so I'll pass on this one.

I really don't get all this misogynistic hate.
The Lord of the Flies is a book that explores human nature through a group of isolated boys in a dire situation, devoid of the social and cultural boundaries that keep us and our baser instincts in check. What exactly is wrong about looking at those same problems through a modern lens, and seeing it from a female perspective? Is it any less valid? Is it any less intriguing or any less provocative?
Why do you feel the need to try to belittle it with comments about women getting their periods in sync, or making jokes about make-up? Is that how you really view women?
From all the comments I've read, I think there's been two that actually make fair points about why this could fail. Otherwise it just seems to be a bunch of grown men trying to sound tough belittling women.

Some of the mockery comes from No one really expecting them to do a fair portrayal of this

This will never be done with girls. It would be attacked as sexist if they did. The movie would never be allowed to show the bad negative parts of humanity with girls, specially in the era of wonder woman.
I didnt even make any of the jokes you mentioned, so im not speaking for them specifically. But right now no one can take this seriously yet.
These boys act horribly, yiu honestly think they will bring that up with girls?

My problem with it is it seems to be Hollywood's newest 'gimmick' -- like "reboot" used to be -- its the hip new Hollywood excuse to retread over widely known (or branded) material.

It isn't done to empower women, or benefit them in any way. It's done as an excuse to retool. It's the latest 'label' disguised as a 'cause' that no one can criticize.

I would be super happy if they did a faithful adaptation. Girls or no girls, that would be cool. But they would be in drama hell if they did

Fair enough, but does the mockery have to mock and belittle women? If they don't expect them to do a fair portrayal, shouldn't the mockery be targeted towards the men?

I'm ever the optimist.
But it seems it's the fashionable thing to bash something before giving it the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not sure too many people nowadays are aware of either the book or the movie...

I would be interested in a remake of this (however it's done, as long as it's sincere). The story is timeless, but we've regressed so much into tribe that this might resonate more now than ever.

But this isn't the only thing they seem to be "girlifying" was more the point.

And I would hope more people than you think know about this classic. It was also a very well-known movie from 1963 before its terrible remake much later.
