Launch tomorrow night!

Oh hell yea, buddy and I are going to be someone in LA. Anybody doing anything in Los Angeles? So I just started crafting last night. Anybody else been doing that? Seems like it takes a while to improve your rating with that.

Very nice launch no problems here.

Agreed. Smoothest launch ever for a game of this magnitude. I just wish Landroval didn't end up being the 1st server on the list.

I got back from my Disneyland trip this evening and logged in to celebrate the end of the level cap. I had about twenty quests completed and waiting to be turned in for some instant XP, but it only got me up to level 16 from the 15 at cap. Some of them were just too low, I guess. Very small amounts of XP on a few of them. Walking through Bree, I felt like I was in a parade. People were everywhere.

If any new players need assistance, feel free to add my characters (Beregond and Dwarin) to your friends list, and if I am online just send me a tell and I can help you work your way through some of the early quests without dying so that you can get the coveted undefeated title. (My dwarf got up to level 14 and the "indomitable" title before he finally died.) Some parts of this game are much easier and more fun if you aren't playing with yourself. Err, by yourself.

:mwaha:mwaha:mwaha I'm pretty much playing as my Dwarf OLORISI/Hobbit FROLAC/Elf CONGERKING hit me up if you need any help. I'll just help you and pick up tin and copper deposits while I'm doing it. :D

The launch of this game was the top story at yahoo.com? Guess I need to jump on the bandwagon.

Hey peeps :)

Below is a list of questions I stupidly asked on a different thread.

I've altered it a bit (see bold italics).

Can I join the kinship if I'm in Yurp???

Where's best in UK to get the SE software?

Ta,

TC

I'm having great fun!! Bcos of puter probs too varied to bore you with, I'm way behind with LOTRO.

There's a number of questions here: Answers to any/all mucho appreciated.

1. I have the " Online Pre-order Bonus Pack". I've only just registed my 10 day activation code with Codemasters, cos of said puter problems.
I don't yet have a full ver. As 24 April has passed, can I stil play the beta?

2. With the bonus pack, I have a £5 voucher from Codemasters. They say they're out of stock of the "Special Edition". Being a nit, I thought they'd allow me to set an order up, then get charged when software arrives. Their system just deletes my basket and says I can't do it that way .....go to Game estore www.game.co.uk
Why have they sent me a voucher I can't use? I have emailed them, but am really frustrated.
Hmmmmmmm... the basic ver is in stock, and is orderable. I'm obviously gonna have to wait till they get restocked with SE

They ain't gonna get restocked..... they don't sell Special Ed in UK, despite listing it on their site
:duh:clap:computer:computer
3. Amazon UK have the basic version, but not the Special software.
Does anyone know if amazon will have the special ver in UK?

4. I've just discovered some software on ebay. Would I be better just getting it from them?
Not a lot of good options there so far, will continue to monitor.
Lastly, I've never played this kinda game b4. I need some advice/tutelage. Any offers?

Thanks peeps

Heading into town to see what Game & HMV stores haveta say. Mebbe try PC World too!

I shall return & report!!

After all that nonsense, I now have a copy of the SE, bought on Cheltenham High St for £49.99. From Game, whose website says it's only available online

So questions remaining are:

How do I play? Can I join your Kinship from UK? Is there anyone else here from UK going to play?

Other bit of good news:

Nice man in Waterstones gave me a Children of Hurin poster free, gratis & without a purchase. Wot a nice chap!!

TC :D

Unfortunately UK/European users can't access U.S. servers and visa versa. :(

I'm guessing there would be performance issues (i.e.: lag, frame rates, etc) if we were able to access servers across the pond, especially with MMOs.
