I'm enjoying this season a lot. There's still enough mystery to keep me hooked. And I think the writing is still top notch.

My one problem is the number of questions that were brought up, but haven't been addressed at all. Anyone else wonder if Michael and Walt really escaped from the island? The Others don't exactly seem like people to keep their word. Would they risk someone going back to civilization? And what about the children? Why were they kidnapped by the Others? Where are they now? What about the four toed statue? And what about Charlie's weird behavior after the hatch blew? I would rather have those questions answered, or at least revisited, before more characters and questions are introduced. I hope they'll eventually get there, but I'd rather it be sooner than later. Then move on to new things.

Josh - No love for BSG? At this point, if I had to choose between the two shows, I think I'd go with BSG. I love Lost, but BSG blows me away every week.

Ron Perlman is the actor from Hellboy and that old Beauty and Beast tv show. I thought the guy Desmond killed was the actor who played the Kurgen in the Highlander.
Thanks for the answer, but I'm still confused, what did Dave mean when he said

I wouldn't be surprised if the eye-patch guy is Ron Perlman - they never established what happened to him.
Sorry, I almost never know people by their real name, I always say the guy who plays Jack on lost, or the australian girl (because I can't remember her name on the show, claire maybe?) or something like that :lol

Oh, and if anyone beats the crap outta the Others it'll be Sawyer.

Ron Perlman - Clancy Brown they stream together in the collective consciousness and become the same person. I assume the one-eyed guy is the guy Desmond killed - whether it's Clancy or Ron...

Yeah, what I've seen of it this show just doesn't grab me. Maybe I've been in a bad mood when watching it before.

Ok, so we are done until February :)monkey2 ) and ......

We really don't know too much other than:

a) Henry has a tumor

b) Kate and Sawyer are definately an item - and that the OTHERS like to watch on the security cams

c) Zippy the Cloud monster can now kill people

d) And that there are two islands

That's it?! Wow, the writers certainly are dragging things along.

We also know...

-Desmond can see into the future (even if it's slight).
-There's something to see 'North'.
-There's some guy named Jacob who made a list.
-Two new Lostee's showed up and we have no idea who the hell they are.
-There's a guy with an eye patch somewhere on the island.

Oh yeah, forgot about Desmond, that I suppose may play itself important.

But no clue about the four-toed statue. :lol

The main plot of season two dealt with the introduction of three new main cast members, Eko, Ana-Lucia, and Libby, and with the introduction of the hatch. Now they are all dead and the hatch is gone. So we also know that anything that happens in season three can be erased when the writers press the reset button at the beginning of season four.

I think the fact that everything interesting that was added to the show during the second season (with the exception of Henry/Ben) has now been written off removes a sense of progress or forward momentum in the series as a whole. What was the point of adding all the tail section people if they weren't going to keep them on the show? It now feels like the whole season was just a big detour.

And if they wanted to add two more regulars--why not Rose and Bernard, instead of two random Brazilians who run up to the camera and start yelling at Hurley and flushing toilets?

I'm just a little upset with where they left off; Kate about to make a run for it (maybe), and Locke ready to go on the much promised island trotting adventure (promised from the prodeucers) to go find the other hatches. It sucks that we have to wait until February, but it does look promising.

As I've said I like where the show is going. I don't think Eko, Ana, and Libby where never meant to be long term stays. I like how that we're finally getting to see more of the others and how they are in their civilization on their island.I like that we are seeing now how Jack, Kate, and Sawyer are going to be reacting. According to what I read though we wont see anything about Michael and Walt this season.

:rotfl I wish they would at least give them names, we need to know what to call them when the island kills them off.

Any ideas whether Sawyer is gonna take a dirt nap?

They have names. Someone has called them by their names at least once before. Can't remember either of them right now though.

I suppose it would depend on the tone, but c'mere does sound more feminine. :lol

The question is...

WHERE IS THE FREAKING McDONALD'S STORE!?!?!

When are they going to show it?!

I'm ready for it. Weird how they moved it to 10pm, I don't think it's goign to have the same ratings as it did at 9pm. Here's pretty much what the second 3/4 of the season is going to be about:

During an interview Carlton Cuse revealed: Penny is an important character in the overarching mythology of the show. The interrelationship between the outside world and the island will be something that will be a part of Season 3.

All I ask is that the show move at a faster clip ... it was really draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaging for awhile. :rip

I'm ready. I did like the long break instead of all the reruns shown with a new episode every now and then.
