So now you can download last night's finale from iTunes and watch it again!

And if you do--look closely at the man in the frozen snowy hatch at the end of the show, who calls P. Widmore about the location of the pulse. I know he's not speaking English, but look closely at his face.

It's Jack.

:google

Ah, you beat me to this --- thanks a lot Tom! :lol :rotfl

It was nice to see that that chose such a classy name for Zeke. :D

And I don't think it's really Jack in the hatch, but it's definitely Matthew Fox. And the producers did that on purpose. Season Three: Attack of the Clones?

SPOILER

So the producers were stuck with an actor for Walt who is about to hit puberty and age far beyond the character he is playing. Now he is on a boat and getting out of there...

Any guesses as to how long it will take for Michael to hand Walt over to a rescue team (or otherwise get him to safety) and then turn the boat around and come back to help his friends, removing the rapidly aging Walt from the equation and giving Michael a chance to remain on the show? Maybe he won't be a regular in season three, but might return in the third season finale and be a regular again in season four. I would hate it if we have seen the last of Michael.

Hey Tom, where'd you read that (about the producers and Walt's age)?

And is it really Matthew Fox in the hatch??? Really?

There's a purpose to that, no doubt!

I didn't read it, I'm justing guessing/reading between the lines as to why they did what they did. It's been nearly two years since they filmed the pilot, but only about two months have passed on the show. If they kept Walt around, he would be hitting puberty and start to look way too old to stay on the show without an explanation as to why he was aging so rapidly. I guess the producers/writers needed to find a way to get him off the island.

Sorry to rain on the clone parade (as I do think the Lost producers wouldn't be beyond such a thing) but according to the credits man #'s 1 & 2 are played by Len Cordova and Alex Petrovitch.

Len Cordova's IMDB's pic can be found here...

He does look like Matt Fox, though.

I just wanted to mention how great it was that Clancy Brown was brought back. Anyone think he might not really be dead? I at least hope we see more of him in flashbacks. Maybe showing how he went from being in Iraq to ending up on the island.

You gotta love Clancy Brown. He's the reason to watch Carnivale on HBO. Well, him and the little person from Twin Peaks who runs the show.

Maybe he was cast because he looks like Fox. And couldn't they take care of that white thread on his jacket?

I've always liked Clancy since I saw Highlander 20 years ago. Man, I'm getting old!

So I'm starting to think that the Others regard themselves as angles and that the island is Purgatory. They help deserving souls assend to Heaven to live among them. Of course there is no such thing as Purgatory (anymore). So obvisously they are merely deslusional folk, probably ex-Hanso employees.

OMG!!

I never put together that that was him! I got it into my head that he sprang forth from Shawshank.

Old? You and me both. The other day I was with a couple of my girlfriend's friends and they were talking about The Princess Bride. I revealed that I had seen the movie opening weekend. They looked at me like a jack rabbit hopped out of my ear.

Of course Walt will end up back at the island, compasses work on the earth's elctromagnetic field to determine North & the island is one huge magnetic force

Not Jack ....

Well I'll be, certainly had me fooled, and the funny thing is I felt smart for picking up on that! :rotfl :lol :rotfl

I guess I was "owned" ... :p - I jest, I jest

Tom, what was it like watching an episode on your TV instead of your iPod?

Actually, I've never watched an episode on the iPod itself. I usually plug my iPod into my TV and watch it that way, and I would actually say that the quality we usually get using that method was comparable to what we saw last night, if not better. (I was at a friend's house who is not set up for HD broadcasts.) But it was definitely nice to watch it on Wednesday night instead of Thursday. Especially for the season finale!

Now if we had been watching in HD, like I will be once I get my HD DVR...
