The regular version is selling regularly now on ebay for just over 200.00 I just can't justify paying 350.00 from sideshow.

I agree, with the large ES on these, it certainly doesn't make sense - and the rewards points are definately not enough to cover the difference.

Try your luck on the 'bay over the next month or so. If you can't get a good deal, then the SS WL should do the trick.

(And I was totally sold once I saw that the exclusive comes in two parts -- the head and the base. That in itself is a major collectible, easily worth $50.)

I keep vacillating as to cancel or not, it's more difficult with the exclusive. It's just that it is so expensive. I think $350 for an edition size of 1150 for the regular and 1150 for the exclusive is too high. Not much time left to decide.

Gentlemen, pay full price for it. Stop dilly-dallying and do it. It's very much worth it.

I just dragged Obi-wan and Vader out of the packing limbo in which they'd been residing since we moved, and neither of them comes close to this one. You'll thank yourselves (and me) later.

Theres no way this Luke is better than Vader, Obi Wan or Leia and GG. I still feel that Lukes face is "off". However, I don't have this piece in hand yet, so I can only comment from the pics posted. But Obi Wan and the others are perfect. Its hard to believe that Luke is in the same League, but Fett should be.

Perhaps saying that "neither one of them comes close" was a bit strong. But there's no denying that this statue has presence.

I think most of it is due to the fact that Vader's cape and Kenobi's robe tend to hide most of the outstanding details on their respective figures. Nothing about the Luke/Yoda piece is left to the imagination. (With the notable and dismissible exception of Yoda's feet. ;) )

Have no doubt that I feel very strongly about my Kenobi and Vader PFs. The fact that I rated the Luke/Yoda PF higher than those two should in no way be taken as a statement against them. Rather, it's a testament in favor of the newer figure.

Besides, it's nice to know that the figures only improve over time. :D

I agree with Monk (or should we call you Mr. Monk? ;))! This piece has it all. Amazing detail, a terrific pose, two, count 'em two characters for the price of one, the single best exclusive of all of the Star Wars PFs to date, and it captures the Dagobah training sequence so well that it just draws you in when you see it in person.

BTW, I also have Vader and Obi-Wan, and I love those pieces as well, but there is just something about this new piece that sets it apart.

[Edit]
I also played around with repositioning Yoda's head this morning, and while I think it still needs a little work, it is looking much better to me:

Before (just a crop from one of my earlier photos):

After (please excuse the poor photo, but I was in a bit of a hurry):

"Master Yoda, please tell me that's a lightsaber."

Sorry, looking at the expressions on their faces and the framing of that picture I had to say it hahaha.
