Luke Is Shipping!!!

Now I just read that someone in San Diego has a notice from FedEx that his Luke is scheduled for delivery for tomorrow.

And we're still waiting for the d*** notice that its even arrived at FedEX.

At least they're shipping in-state, guess we'll get him Thurs now unless he arrives tomorrow with notices to follow which COULD STILL HAPPEN.


Anyway, it's been fun, especially Tom's Get Mikey, LOL, that was great!

If Fedex receives the label info from Sideshow, it generates a shipping estimate based on the time the label was created. If the labels were printed last night, shipping e-mails were generated and sent automatically. If, however, the packages were not actually picked up until today, the Fedex system will update the estimated delivery date based on the actual pickup time. I have had that happen before.

Still waiting on my e-mail, though...

Here's the notifications that we should be getting based on a gift that SS sent me last week:

First, I got a tracking email from the shipping dept at SS.

Second, I got an invoice from the shipping dept.

Last, I got a "pre-delivery alert" from FedEx.

So far, I haven't received any of these emails for Luke.

I usually get the pre-delivery alert from Fedex the night that it ships. The notification and invoice from Sideshow usually arrive the next day, as does the package.

me too every time, except on 2 ocassions, out of like 20

So which is worse--not getting your pre-delivery e-mail, or getting it and having the delivery date bumped back?

Actually, I think the worst thing would be if you had missed out on the figure altogether. I'm just glad that I know he will be here soon, and I am not one of those contemplating a $180 purchase on eBay.

That's exactly what happened with mine. The label was printed last night and didn't go out till today. Not a big deal but I was looking forward to having him on Thursday when I am off.

Haven't received my "shipped" e-mail either and in my account it does not say that my item is "shipping soon"... All it says is that the order is placed...

I did receive the original e-mail at the same time as everyone else that said that the item would be shipping within the next 20 days.

Perhaps it is because mine is the "Regular Edition" and they ship the "Exclusives" first? Or perhaps it is because I live in Canada?

I only ordered Luke EX; in fact I only order the exclusives for all my Sideshow purchases.

The sad fact is: I was expecting Luke to arrive on Friday or Saturday before all this "notice" madness began, and now it looks like that's when I'll get him. All this headache for nothing.

But now I know who the others are...

I ordered both and asked SS CS if they could send them together and they said they would try but it doesn't really work that way so I may not get mine till next week. Funny, haven't really thought about till now that but it's clear all Luke Ex are shipping out first.

Anyway I'm almost certain now that anyone who didn't get a shipping notice yet means the their label hasn't been printed and that's a screw-up for some of us who ordered first and were hoping to receive him tomorrow.

Nope exclusives only for me. Actually my luke was a waitlist exclusive that got turned into an order.

Anyway I'm almost certain now that anyone who didn't get a shipping notice yet means the their label hasn't been printed and that's a screw-up for some of us who ordered first and were hoping to receive him tomorrow.

With the move they probably are only getting a few out. Just chill and wait it will come. There is no prize for being one of the first to get one.

Honestly, I think that Wait List orders being shipped before those who placed their order in the first few minutes is a bit irritating. But when all is said and done, it's not the end of the world. We'll all be getting him eventually.

If Wait Listers get their figure as quickly as pre-order'ers, then maybe there's no need to sit at the computer at 10am in a fury to grab an exclusive. Maybe I'll just wait list like... THE OTHERS!
