Awsome - can't wait for the PF Obi-Wan review and the controversial Darla!!! :D

Speaking of the Luke pics, this fig really does look incredible in dramatic lighting.....amazing really. The detail to me seems almost as good as their 1:4 scale line, which is saying something.

When they do a 1:6 version of Vader, I wish they could just shrink down the PF one and give it articulation!

Thanks Dave - I try

I'm getting flooded with Sideshow product next week - PF Obi-wan, Kurgan, Darla...and somebody else I'm forgetting! So there will be at least a couple more Sideshow reviews in the next couple weeks.

Cool looking forward to seeing your PF Obi-Wan Review. I'll be curious to see if it matches my own thoughts.

Nice pic Batty! I think this figure has more pics taken of it than any of the other SSC 1/6 put together.

Overall I think Michael Crawford's pics really are the most varied and best representation of the figure that we've seen.
Thanks Dave, JohnyBoo and kingdarkness03. With all the photos already posted, I just wanted to do something a little more atmospheric. That guy in the back looks familiar. I have a few more with some of my other SSC figures I might post later.

I agree about MC's photos. Always professional looking.

For the review I did. I retook some photos since the other just didn't come out the way I wanted for it. Which is why that review has been delayed a little.

Here are a couple much more improved shots.

Ditto. Well done Batty, best pic yet of Luke in that pose.

Jlcmsu, can I just say how much I love that you took the time and effort to put a fresh doily under Luke? Very classy.:lol

I also like that the lightsaber is posed at the exact same angle as the cordless phone antenna.

Thanks guys:lol

I couldn't get a decent photo to save my butt of Luke in my room so I brought him out to the front room and took some pics. I used the doily to class luke up a bit.:rotfl Nah it just made it easier to spin him around to take pics.

Actually, that isn't a cordless phone antenna. It's a EMS/Fire/Police scanner. My Dad is a paramedic.

:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

Could someone post a scale comparison pic of the SSC Luke next to the Medicom Stormtrooper?

My Luke will be here on Tuesday and my Stormtrooper will be here sometime next week. (Tho I won't be able to open it up until the 22nd since my wife is very strict about not getting Bday presents early) So I'm just wondering what to expect. I know the Medicom stuff is shorter, I'm just wondering how bad the difference is.

Thanks!

Batty, love the lighting/shadows on Luke with Boba in the background-- gave me a deja vu. BTW, which BF is that? Looks pretty good.
Thanks Mortar Conn. That's the Hasbro OTC Fett from 2004. It is pretty good. Can't wait for the SSC version.

Here's a shot of Luke in my living room. No, that's not Jabba behind him.

Another good shot Batty!

You have a genuine talent for getting a posed expression which captures the essence of Luke as Mat had intended when sculpting him. Bravo!

I have a serious question that ive been wondering. Do you guys not mind displaying your 1/6 figs in open environment? How do you keep it from getting all dusty ?

That is definitely a concern of mine. I am planning on getting one or two of the detolf displays from Ikea, or something like it, to display my Sideshow figures and my increasing mini bust collection. I am more worried about cloth items collecting dust.

Do you think I should refrain from displaying it out in the open until I get a proper glass cabinet?

My house never really gets dusty. Can't remember the last time I needed to dust any figures. Sometimes a little may gather on top of the head.

My plan is to keep them in the packaging for the most part. Thankfully, Sideshow designed this new type of box because I'll want to take it out and mess around with it every once in a while.

But truth be told, my apartment is a major dust magnet. I'll dust the TV screen, and all that dust is back within 48 hours!! Toward the end of the year when I have half a dozen or more SW 12"ers, I'm hoping to make a trip down to the IKEA in Plymouth Meeting, PA and get a Detolf or two. The low price tag on those blows me away, and I've heard nothing but good things about them.
