I'm trying not to judge too harshly since it's not a great picture but it does seem off. The sculpt is the most disappointing aspect to me though. It doesn't feel like a $240 figure for sure.

As always, i'll wait for more pics. One's without terrible lighting. Upper part of the gear does look puffy. COuld Sideshow have added some inner suit like they did on both Fetts?

That hot light better end up revealing an amazingly realistic sculpt. The costume looks OK, maybe good even, once futzed. Maybe. Still has this Hasbro-ish thing about it. Can't put my figure on it. I felt the same about the Hoth pair. Material too thick and cut too baggy. Puffs out where it should hang.

It seems to have that same skin texture (or lack of) and stick on rubber hairpiece that recent head sculpts have had.
At least the eyes aren't muppet show though, that's a plus.

I'm already feeling a Hot Toys Luke head and body switch. Good news is the Hot toys head has removable hair so it should look amazing in the pilot helmet. Either way, the percentage that head and body remaining intact for me
is getting closer to zero by the second. Though I was expecting that all along.

Already had to swap two bikers so Luke looks like he's next man up...... Unfortunately.

But at least the outfit looks nice. The jumpsuit tailoring and stitching appear to have held up from the prototype. Digging the boots too, like the shape and the creases/bend.

I have those Bespin Luke heads coming out of my jacksie. Just as well if I need to keep swapping them :lol

Thanks...

All I can say is Wow....

Proto pose for comparison.

Too early to judge a photo taken badly through glass.

If he's no good, at least there was no NRD on this when I ordered. :lol

Of course... this is just a start... worth discussing since its coming around the corner...

Totally agree. Worth discussing, but it's always amazing to me how much hate and/or praise 1 bad picture can generate.

This is what has me wanting to get out of 1/6 all together. We spend good money on these things and then mod them, swap heads with another expensive figure just to get the desired outcome we wanted in the first place. :slap

Picked up a spare set of heads as well anticipating poor sideshow sculpt and bodies in anticipation.:hi5:

I would like to make a Empire Luke pilot with jacket. The look with a blaster pose fresh of the xwing crash on the way to see Yoda.

Can't get too worked up over this photo--it's terrible, looks like a camera phone pic from a decade ago. :lol That said I've never ordered this one based on the price/NRD and if the tailoring on the jumpsuit, which is the whole figure, doesn't end up being really nice I can't see myself ordering this or the TIE Pilot--though maybe the black would hide some of its flaws.

Suit looks a little better......care less about plain head sculpt would be in helmet on my shelf. That said, it's SS so I'd never PO will wait for more pics to decide whether worth a purchase.
