What is Sideshow's problem???
LoL, I'll use the recent south park reference.

They don't have a problem. Evidently their business model works just fine.

Evidently their 1/6 is crap.
Like everything, it does... until it doesn't.
This could be the beginning of the 'doesn't'. I know this figure is a tipping point for a lot of people here. Me included.
Here's the fairest COMP I could make of the Production figure, the actual Character, and the Proto...

It's all pretty close really... but the Production figure just misses a bit in most categories. Misses majorly in the sculpt.
Evidently their 1/6 is crap.
Not all of it, just a lot of it. Most of it?
We all know as soon as folks start getting this figure "in-hand" they will be forgiving and end up defending it to justify their misguided purchase.

If they do, whatever it is I want some of what they are smoking.
I think its accurate just overdone. Strange of all things, they got the ugly moles correct.
Because the gap between the prototype and the production piece is so vast that it seems dishonest.Just don't know why it would ever be expected that they update the box starting with this figure, that's all.
Usually when I read the "false advertising/bait and switch" comments it feels like hyperbole but in this case I'd wholeheartedly agree. The difference between the two is staggering. It seems pretty shifty on Sideshow's part to preview a prototype that looks great, charge a nonrefundable deposit, and deliver something that turns out looking like crap. It borderline feels like false advertising.
