Is the magnet sewn in, Kuat? I was on the fence about this figure, but you've got me intrigued now with the magnet collar--space age stuff. :)

Yes. I didn't know it was there until, as if by magic, the collar closed itself!

Behold the work of the devil:

:panic:

How's the body compared with the Prometheus? Toying around with some body swaps for the Hoth figure. I actually don't mind the pro 1.0 on Hoth Luke, I guess I really should just pad out the upper arms/shoulder area.

Just noticed there looks to be ball pegs for the ankles. Might not be worth the trouble.

Body seems good. Double jointed elbows, and he can put his arms closer to his sides than the Scout Trooper. But as mentioned before, there's something wrong with his right leg. It's springy/floppy, unlike the left leg which holds a pose. Haven't taken the suit off to see what the problem is - according to Rubio's experience doing so negates your Sideshow warranty!

I sent an email about the broken visor rail and body yesterday.

Another miracle!

First, the hidden thrusters on the Spacetrooper...

Now, a self closing collar!

I love it! Beat!

:lol

A new word for a new generation, for a post that beats all others!

Thanks for the info. I'm actually very curious how the TIE pilot gear would work on the Luke body (he has padding under the suit apparently too) as a squatter TIE pilot somehow seems more right. I think the fit of Luke's flight suit is just better though, no elastic waist from the look of it and the hips/thigh don't balloon out. Tailoring just seems sharper on this figure.

Luke's suit does have that elasticated waist, but the elastic part seems to be only at the back, so the belt sits neatly at the front.

The suit is a good fit on him, but I wish they'd made the legs longer to make it easier to blouse the right leg over the boot. The bottom of the legs are elasticated so you can pull them to the top of the boot, but there's not enough material left over, or its the combination of crotch grabber and elasticated waist that pulls the legs up.

Yeah I really like that detail of the outfit and even 3 3/4" figures have included it so it's pretty ingrained in my head as being necessary. I saw someone achieve the look but it's likely they weren't using a crotch grabber.

Monkey see, monkey do.

:lol "I'm getting too old for this sort of thing. She needs you, Luke. I recommend using two fingers."

I got this figure the other day and flipped on a new hope while in boxing him.i noticed in the movie the strap thing on his calf that holds those little cylinders is actually on his right leg not his left .in the promo shots it's on his left leg,so it is accurate but now the dilemma of movie accurate or promo photo accurate is occurring.i wish I could just buy another and go helmet on and strap on right leg and helmet off strap on left leg.problem solved.

If only this figure had come with a facial paint app of Hot Toys' quality, it would have been an absolute legendary figure. As it is, it's still pretty good, and has grown on me a lot.

On display, it brings a lot of needed colour to the Star Wars display and actually has a lot of shelf presence!

Right now not worth the $240 asking price, but in the long run I think I'll be pretty happy with this in the collection.

I now have $50 off at Popcultcha so thinking it'll either go on this (brings it to about $190 incl shipping) or HT Vader. Going to see how my custom X-Wing pilot looks using TA parts first to decide if I want a second orange dude on display.

Sorry about this. Just needed to satisfy my curiosity.

(Props to Mr. Crawford for the photo borrowing)
