Farmboy Luke looks like a just got a creepy text from Aunt Beru.:lol

Great set-up! Love seeing them all side by side. Will Stormie Luke not hold the helmet?

That's quite a financial commitment to HT Luke heads!

LOL! Yeah. Aunt Beru keeps sending naked pictures of herself wanting a little bit of his father in her.

He will hold it but depending on who I have standing beside Luke it seems to get in the way of the other figures pose. Plus I'm afraid it will drop at get scratched.

I got the heads all pretty cheap. I bought an extra Stormtrooper Luke from Timcent when they first released. Kept the head and sold the rest. I think that ended up only costing me $25.00 that way for the ceremonial Luke.

The X-wing head I actually got when I bought an extra non exclusive ANH Luke from sideshow and sold off all the parts I didn't want. Ended up getting the head, body, hands, light saber arm, hilt, and stand for $82.50 after I sold the rest. Not bad considering how much they go for. I was able to put together the x-wing Luke I wanted and I sold the bits of that one so that figure only cost me $101.95 after I sold the head and body.

So really I got the Luke I wanted for a grand total of $184.45 shipped. Cheaper than sideshows stock figure and I have the Lightsaber arm to use with it as well.

That figure really is awesome. I sold my HT Luke for him and i don't regret it !

I'm gonna probably have some of the same old questions about the body swap for this figure in a couple days. :yess:

Gotta dig up Hoth Luke.

You left him buried in the snow? :horror

I think the Hoth / X-Wing body switch works really well. As though the outfits were designed for each other's bodies.

Still there. Think it's just getting washed out from the overhead lighting and focus. It could probably use a bit of removal with alcohol to make the weathering that's there pop a bit more. Looks too dull when it's completely covered in it.

People blame the weathering but I think the colour of the helmet itself is too gray.

Nice pictures TonTon.

I removed the factory weathering from mine with acetone, it makes a difference. I also repainted the Rebel insignias and added my own weathering. One of my favorite figures.

Does rubbing alcohol not have much effect? It seemed to work really well to remove weathering on SSC's R2 and 3PO.

I've had a few near disasters with acetone and rubbing alcohol seems milder.

Thanks for posting those Chaka! Your helmet looks great. I thought ZE did a bit of work with rubbing alcohol but sounded like a lot more elbow grease involved than with R2. I tried swapping the body to the farmboy Luke body but to me that looked too shrunken for the outfit. I wanted to try the pro 1.0 too but I was getting some fraying on some of the small straps while dealing with all of the buckles and lost my nerve so it's back on the stock body. The shoulders are too broad but it does otherwise seem pretty well tailored to that body.

I still wish the collar around the neck was a bit more snug fitting, and that zipper is annoying too, as it sticks out a bit. Also feels like a slightly longer neck post might improve things, but this one is pretty long already.

Any chance anyone here made a repaint on the head that would do justice to its likeness?

I'd be curious to see that as well. The paint on the stock head has some subtleties but still ends up looking pretty flat and the sculpt seems a bit soft in details, but to me the biggest issue is that the eyes kind of bulge out. I'm not sure that would be minimized with a repaint. I feel like the HT head is also improved when the helmet goes on--ends up looking a but more like Hamill than when it's on the farmboy outfit with the hair.

I'm using the small SS hair piece in the helmet--I don't think it would fit with the HT hair and I'm not sure I want to try as it could scratch up the visor--I already got a scratch (or paint rub) from the SS hair piece. It fits in without modding but it's not as perfect a fit, but once it's in it's pretty solid but it can still sort of be pushed around at different angles. The SS head has an indent so that the helmet fits perfectly. Without the small SS hair piece the head is too loose and wobbly in there for me.

I think the plug for the neck is more recessed on the HT head so if you push the HT head on the ball joint all the way it kind of looks like Luke has no neck. I pushed it in, but then pulled it up a little bit to avoid that (so it's probably half on the ball joint). A longer neck joint might improve that.

Rubbing alcohol will work. It will remove the stock weathering.

I wasn't too concerned with using acetone as I intended all along to repaint parts of the helmet. Still need to be careful though.
