ANH Luke was $69.99 when it was released. Look at all the goodies that were included, including a very good headsculpt, (usual bad paint) however. If this was released today, it would be what? $275??? lol!

I was all set to PO this one. This one looks amazing, but SS reached through my monitor and slapped me in the face with that $240 price tag. Sorry SS, not even for Luke.

Serious? Did I miss Luke doing a force push in ANH? For this price they should have included extra head, suit, saber, pistol, and light saber to do an ESB version. Sideshow has officially gone down that slippery slope.

Yep, $20 less and way more... sure it's a PT figure, but no way you can justify the extra cost even if you blame inflation.

I'm about 98% chance you'll be able to get this guy on clearance about a year from now, and after all the discounts he will cost what he should have cost to begin with.

I wonder if SSC seriously is factoring in the monthly $20 coupons, free shipping, extra rewards points, and other discounts into the initial prices of figures now, assuming folks aren't going to be paying full price?

It's like Hobby Lobby. Everything is insanely overpriced, because they always have 50% off coupons you can use BBTS is sort of like that. I've seen Minimate 2-packs listed for $15-20, then get a 50% discount added so it appeared to be some great deal to get them at retail.

Unfortunately, I feel as though I'm being priced out of this hobby. I refuse to pay $240 for such a figure. It looks great, but not for that price. Sorry, Sideshow. You're losing me.

Remember when they actually issued a statement about the increased cost of Luke... since he was like $15 more than any of the other 1/6 figures. What was funny part of the reason was the higher cost of fabrics, and we ended up with a shimmery stiff tunic that looked worse than what came on the Hasbro figure. And that's not a joke, I actually unstitched a Hasbro tunic and put it on a custom Luke and it looked way better

Wait, this Luke costs more than HT Han? I hadn't realized that. Forget that. Cancelled. Will reconsider if I see discounts or deals that bring it down to about $199.99.

SSC's prototypes really are getting close to HT. They just need to address the value issue.

Ok, and what good does that do us? Prototypes = good. Final product = wtf. Sideshow isn't close to delivering on the quality of their protos....

The Tunic on the prototype looked great, I actually was able to buy a Medicom tunic and it looks better.
