Wow! I was on the fence about buying this, thanks for helping make up my mind Sideshow. $240???? No thanks!! I can't really see myself affording this hobby too much longer....

On a side note, it looks like it was pretty much developed by Hot Toys if I had to guess. Did anyone notice the names of the sculptors etc?

Maybe these high prices are a good thing. Make all future figures $500 and it'll be a real easy decision to not buy. All kinds of money saved.
Maybe I'll take up pottery or something.

I do have to say Luke is the better looking figure. But yea, needs more accessories to even consider that price.

Damn that is a long turnaround time... and plenty of time to think about it!

I think I may go for it in the end though, it looks really nice! I really want to buy many of those gloves for my ghostbusters! The black gloves being held in the hand looks great too.

I think Sideshow made a typo, there's a "2" where there should be a "1" in the price.

Wow, somewhat glad that everything on my long-term Star Wars wanted list has already been announced - I can't wait to see the prices of figures launched next year. This market is in need of a big correction.

There is NO WAY this figure should cost more than 140.00. There is no excuse why this should cost more than Hoth line that is borderline too high. Only a couple extra hands and a generic at best stand. This is such a bare bones figure with NO justification for this price. For this price they should include a battle damaged R2. This is crap sideshow. You will price yourself out of business before you know it.

SSC's prototypes really are getting close to HT. They just need to address the value issue.

They should have just gone to $250 and included a second head sculpt for ESB plus the padded jacket, belt, blaster, saber, new boots and gloves.

Clay is really cheap. Make a nice vase for your mom for Christmas! You will feel much better doing that vs why did I pay 240.00 for this figure?

Yep, completely out of touch if they think that is a reasonable price... I have not passed on an OT figure yet, I've waited to buy a few, but I've owned all of them with the exception of 2 of the 4 Sandtrooper variants. Even bought a number of the environment pieces.

X-Wing Luke, or at least any pilot has been on my list for a long time, but I can't accept this price. I'm gonna pass, and just plan on either not having this figure in my collection or maybe waiting for a deal... as I just don't see this ever maintaining it's value especially with the knowledge that HT may release the same figure for the same cost

I just realized it's the ungloved hands and gloves that are Exclusive.

Man, even the exclusive is insulting... so if you didn't get the exclusive you just get two set's of hands; wtf Sideshow.

Boom.. there ya go, that would have been a instabuy. Even at $250 it feels a bit high, but not insultingly so.

I'm about 98% chance you'll be able to get this guy on clearance about a year from now, and after all the discounts he will cost what he should have cost to begin with.

I wonder if SSC seriously is factoring in the monthly $20 coupons, free shipping, extra rewards points, and other discounts into the initial prices of figures now, assuming folks aren't going to be paying full price?
