LUKE to LUKE: 2 Years already

With Luke Bespin arriving soon, it occured to me that it's been just about 2 years since this SS Star Wars line has begun.

How do you guys think it's going?

Personally, I am very happy with many of the figures I have always wanted done right.

On the other side...

If I told you in 2005 that in 2007 you'd still have no Vader, would you have believed me? Would you have leaped into the line so deeply?

I'm pretty happy myself. I probably wouldn't have believed you about the Vader but then I'd not have believed you if you told me we'd have a Jabba either.

I am pretty happy with the line up so far. I'm interested to see what the next big item up SS's sleeves

I agree... I never would have thought of a Jabba. I think this line is going pretty good so far. A little to heavy on the Jedi and humans but its a great start and even though I may not have bought them I do like the "oddball" characters (Kit, Plo, etc ...) and I am sure 2 years from now we will still be very happy.

I like the line all the more because there is no Vader yet. I am so tired of Darth Vader I could puke.

I'm very happy with the line. When I got into this it wasn't because I thought of Vader first. I saw Jedi Luke announced, and that had me hooked. I'm in this for the long haul. I can wait for Vader because I know it'll be worth it. That and because I'm not a whiner.

I think this line is an absolute letdown, poorly done since day one and I wouldn't be caught dead spending a dime on any figure in it

This line has been awesome. Lots of cool and interesting character choices. I'm surprised at no Vader but I think when he does I think he will rock.

Interesting question...I guess two years in, and I feel like this line has the chance to go on for a long time. Sideshow has barely scratched the surface, and they have put out enough oddball things like the chess table and Jabba, so that I wouldn't guess what we might see before all is said and done. I would love to see an armored character soon, but simply because they were so iconic for SW.

Some people really need to remove the stick from their ass. Why do they place so much importance on the secondary market?

What happened to the PF line? I got rid of my 12 inch figures to focus on collecting the PF's but its been a let down eventhough the sculpts are great. 2 Lukes, Plastic Fett and Biker Scout at $800.00, and nothing since, I'm thinking about dropping the line. I should of never got rid of my 12 figures, bad move.

It's pretty sad. RS used to be the place to be... long ago. I think I met Hurricane there originally. And you too, Josh -- you're the one that helped convince me to join up here. Not sure if you remember, but you did -- I think I contacted you about some pictures or something in late 2005. Fortunately, my Verizon didn't allow me to join up on RS -- and it was quickly becoming flame-war central and nothing constructive -- or fun -- was being said. I think a lot of people here are refugees from RS.

I think the line is looking superb. There are so many characters, I couldn't care less whether we get Vader sooner or late. It's fun just to see the line as it is so far, and it's fantastic
