What happened to us as people. It's starting to sound like that "I have a right not to be offended...." YOU DON'T HAVE THAT RIGHT. It is not in the constitution anywhere.

In any forum that encourages the free exchange of ideas differing opinions are bound to crop up -- just keep it civil, basic netiquette applies, no flames, no spamming, etc. Personal attacks, name calling and outright rudeness will not be tolerated. But if someone is obviously joking please don't take offense, we're not going to be the "political correctness" police here. Also as many artists, both amateur and professional post here, criticism should be constructive and not "it looks like crap."

A good guideline is - if you wouldn't say it to a casual acquaintance at work then you shouldn't say it here.

You entered a contract when you signed up - in return for the right to post you agreed to the rules of the board.

And don't start blabbing on about "freedom of speech" - its not unconditional and absolute. You are free to say whatever you would like but no one is under any obligation to provide a forum for it (or listen to it). One of the most gravely misunderstood "rights" - but sadly most people these days seem concerned solely with their own rights, with little thought to the obligations that come with them or the rights of others.

I love the SIDESHOW 12" line although i started late in the game i absolutely love the figures that i have gotten so far with 3 more coming :chew. My only change would have been the Yavin Luke to the ANH white outfit Luke or something totally different.

I am also glad that members from RS pointed me to the Freaks Board a great board and awesome members!!.

I would love to see:

ANH Han Solo i have always loved the outfit and look.

Bounty Hunters- IG-88, Zuckuss, 4-Lom, Aurra Sing.

Tusken Raider would be great with the exclusive being a in scale to SS 12" Jawa.

I did read the rules, if that's what you meant. Also, I know that freedom of speech is only from government censorship.

My point was, people have become so whiny about not being offended. Things will offend you and me every day. It's part of life. We are all on go down a slippery slope with this kind of talk. Offensive is a point of view, and not an absolute. So is words like mean, good, and evil. Once we start to remove things that are offensive to some, when does it stop? It's a part of the whole politically correct society that we have become.

We all need to grow a thicker skin. I agree don't try to offend people, but it happens.

So, if I offended anyone with my comments, I apologize.

With Luke Bespin arriving soon, it occured to me that it's been just about 2 years since this SS Star Wars line has begun.

How do you guys think it's going?

Personally, I am very happy with many of the figures I have always wanted done right.

On the other side...

If I told you in 2005 that in 2007 you'd still have no Vader, would you have believed me? Would you have leaped into the line so deeply?

I think the line is going very well-- It's given us core characters while also being original with other not so key figures to create a balance.
In terms of the Vader enigma--he's kind of (just a little bit) a key character so I'd rather they get him right than rush something out to us that has too many flaws to count.

The armoured figures will come... Patience my friends.. Patience... Just as a certain wookie might eventually show up :chew.

I gotta say I like the line way it is going also.
Dont really miss the armored characters so much, because most other collectible companies do them first and alot. They dont have to worry about nailing a human likeness and once you make one armored figure product, chances are you can re use that sculpt over and over with differnet color varients. So to me it seems we have way too many options for Armored figures and statues.

Here's the clincher for me. I don't collect those other companies' figures. I collect Sideshows because of the following:

1. Quality
2. Detailing
3. Price Point

Those other companies may have 2 out of 3 from the above list, but they can't do the hat-trick that Sideshow does.

Sideshow may slightly slip on any of the 3 above but it's usually more of mis-step than a standard. I think they have done quite alright so far in keeping up all 3 above.
