M Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender

I was really excited about this at first but now I fear he might ruin this. The anime was really great and I dont think the story or plot should be messed with. MNS better not mess it up!

I have seen all of the 'Airbender' cartoons and its almost Dragonball like in action and comedic style. (watched it with my son!)

Its really funny!, although I am looking forward to see what they have done, I doubt that it will capture the fun or the pace of the cartoon.

Trailer was ok, not great, they should of used my friend as the Airbender!

Trailer looks awesome but from experiance taiker don't mean jack.

Got a kid who's amazing for Aang, please be a great movie, Avatar is one of the best american cartoons ever.

The trailer looks great but I know it will probably not be in the film which I have no problem with since that scene never happens on the show. I am excited for the movie for 2 reasons:

1 - Shyamalan's daughters are big fans and they got him into it. I would trust a child with this property before I would some directors in Hollywood. We all know who they are...
2 - He wrote Stuart Little, a family movie which I really enjoyed. When it comes to family films, I think Shyamalan knows what he's doing.

From what I have seen in the trailer and looking up the actors on IMDB I have high hopes for this film and this franchise. I love Avatar and wish it went the Dragon Ball route by showing Aang thru adulthood as the Avatar. I guess after he defeated Fire Lord Ozai there was no real reason to go any further. They all lived happily everafter.

I saw the trailer and have no idea what to think...the kid looks nothing like Aang although he looks like he will do the character justice with his martial arts skills alone. I think it is the buzz cut and the arrow not being bright blue that seems off to me.

I'm interested to see the guy who played Jasper in Twilight as Sokka...he seems to be nothing like the character but maybe he will pull through.
