Not impressed by the trialer, as the Village showed us, you cant trust this man's films based on the tralier. Great trailer>>>>>>>>Eventual trash. He should throw in the towel and turn to directing commercials and/or Music videos, as it seems 2-4 minute projects are his forte.

It amazes me that people still watch M Night's trailers and continue to be excited

looks like he changed his formula for making movies.About time.

The guy has Directed three great Movies, Unbreakable,The Sixth Sense and Signs, one average movie, The Village and two crap movies The lady in the water and the Happening. I say you can't be a untalented if you have made 3great movies out of 6. He's just lost inspiration and we need to give him another chance.
The use of Karate to blow out candles did give me horrible flashbacks of Dragonball Evolution though.

Im not a Film director but trust young one, I have accomplished more in life than you have good sir , as is evident by the tax bracket I am currently included in.

Are you claiming that to have an opinion about the film genre, you infact have to be a film director yourself with a more impressive filmography??? Surely you cannot be that stupid, smug, naive or hypocritical..(seeing as you are on a board that is SOLEY BASED ON OPINIONS).

He wrote and directed 2 movies before Sixth Sense, I've seen Wide Awake which features Rosie O'Donnell as a nun and is all about a crisis of faith in a little boy.

However Airbender is a complete departure for Night - he's never worked with material from another source. If he's faithful to that I think he could make a great film - he has a very distinctive style that can work well with the right script.

However I'm not sure an action packed story like Airbender IS the kind of material that suits his style - the trialer is just 2 long shots - it's not the typical frenetic action of most blockbusters these days.

I am really looking forward to this having just watched the trailer!!!

I know nothing about Avatar, would it be best to watch the nick series before i watch the movie do you think or do you think it might be worth just waiting for the movie?

I actually think M Night is a tad underated, i really love his films apart from Lady In The Water which i thought was terrible!!!

What i have never understood is why The Village took such a hammering, it may be just me but i really loved this film and found the whole concept intriguing

lol, the man has made some good movies, that is a fact. And glad you are proclaimed to be in a high tax bracket, which means nothing even if it was true. You know nothing of what I have done or how much i make lol.

As for the board getting dumber everyday, that is just the recent newbs that have joined since feb.
