dude why are people worried about this being like Dragon ball E no this looks like it sticks to the materail,i dont see ang going to high school and being picked on by zuko the school bully but then ang learns he has powers and beats him up no you dont see that. i saw fire nation ships and ang using air bending which is just like the show.

The guy has Directed three great Movies, Unbreakable,The Sixth Sense and Signs, one average movie, The Village and two crap movies The lady in the water and the Happening. I say you can't be a untalented if you have made 3great movies out of 6.

The Sixth Sense was awesome. Unbreakable was okay and Signs was good except for the plothole that aliens whose only weakness is water, the thing that will kill them, decide to invade a planet that is 80% water. They have the technology to go anywhere in the universe, the intel to make crop circles and things of that nature but no one said "Hey Zorb, the planet is like full of water isn't that suicide?"

The Village, Lady in the Water and The Happening were huge crapfests. I have no faith in anything originally done by M. Night Hackjobalan but I'll give him a chance at adapting another person's material. I wonder where he'll place himself in the film.

Lady in the Water and The Happening

= I'm glad he's taking a break from original material

What i have never understood is why The Village took such a hammering, it may be just me but i really loved this film and found the whole concept intriguing

It's not just you, The Village was a good movie and the concept was very good and interesting indeed.

The Village :rock

But, back OT. I've watched the Nick show, but only have seen Water, and Earth. (is that the second "book"?)
I'm really looking forward to this, because I loved the setting, story and characters form the tv-show :)

I thought his first 3 films were each better than the one preceding it. I love SIGNS. Since then, however, it's been the exact opposite... THE VILLAGE... Eh, LADY IN THE WATER... Ugh, THE HAPPENING... WTF.

He's actually been talking about doing a sequel to UNBREAKABLE again, and I'd be all for that actually.

His original concept for the sequel sounds intriguing: Mr. Glass, while institutionalized, finds someone else with similar powers to Security (David Dunn) and manipulates him into becoming the main bad guy nemesis. Sounds kinda like SUPERMAN IV, but with 90% less cheese.

That sounds intriguing indeed. I hope that he will do that eventually. :)

Me, too. I'd love to see more. Elijah Price is an amazing character (probably SLJ's best) and could go down as one of the best-developed "super villains" ever if Night decides to do more and does 'em right.

If he makes a sequel, that would be bad ass :rock Had it not been for The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable would have been my favorite MNS movie.

In other words..."Unbreakable is your second favorite MNS movie" haha. I would agree with you!

Im interested in a sequel if its done well. Mostly because I want to see just how unbreakable Bruce Willis is!

NICE, the crap has been cleared!

What I think is interesting is that MNS is taking on an existing property with an existing plot. Not that he won't change it at all, but its definately a deviation from his normal original movie with a twist. Which makes me wonder if he has gotten the point that his old movie outline is kinda played out for now!

Maybe he has found a way to end this movie with a twist too :dunno

But it could be very well the case that the man wants to try something else. Everybody is expecting twists now, when they go see his movies and his last couple of movies haven't been getting good reviews. I haven't seen Lady In The Water and The Happening yet, so I can't judge them myself. But he might have thought that it was time for something else, something new...

Haha, you might be right. Maybe he will throw ALL of his previous twists into the end of this one:

"OH MY GOD...the last Airbender has been dead this whole time which explains why he is unbreakable except for that weakness to ordinary water. Wait...he's not REALLY the last airbender! We must have accidentally assigned the incorrect roles in this movie...now if only those trees would stop attacking from that darned civilization that exists beyone our village so we could straigten all this out......."
