Chris i gotta say for your second sculpt you did a great job. If you continue sculpting you will just keep getting better with each one. :peace

:bow:bow Thanks alot Josh, coming from an artist as yourself and masterful painter is awesome! I think Mel was a pretty hard sculpt to do maybe thats why we hardly have had any choices in the past, hopefully my next portrait wont be such a hard likeness to capture

Man, those last changes put it over the top, fantastic work! Cannot wait to get this in hand :rock

yes excellent work, those changes though subtle really made a big difference.

Incredible work kuato! Now that IS Mel Gibson! :) :clap

I definitely want both sculpts! Max and Riggs. Yeah, Riggs was always clean shaven in all four Lethal Weapon movies.

I hope all of those pictures I posted here helped out.

Thank you for all the kind words Gentlemen, for just being my second full on sculpt EVER you guys have really helped. I did some minor changes again haha, cheek bones are not as pronounced now and I lifted hair line a bit and at last fixed the lips, please excuse the dark coloration on the sculpt especially the lips it is due to the wax changing color on me :) well here is a quick snap at the sculpt now

Oh and the sculpt has very light stubble, only reason I couldnt go heavy is because Riggs doesnt really have much facial hair, but with the right painting, the appearance can be changed, trust me :)
that looks great Chris, great work so far!

I have a couple of quick critiques if you don't mind?
I remember when I first sculpted (it sucked so bad),
I had trouble with symmetry which I actually didn't notice until pretty recently. I found that looking at the sculpt from the reflection of the mirror helps detect any non symmetrical parts or
looking at the sculpt upside down (flip the sculpt)
Often the sculpt will look symmetrical if you just get used to staring at it from the front but the the other perspectives helps you eye catch things.
I'm not sure if it's just the angle but the nose looks slightly tilted to the right but not by much. (and left eye a little more higher/sunken?)
The overall facial structure looks amazing right! Wow! The lips, perfect.

Also, In terms of the eyes, the eye shape looks too even top and bottom (like a football. If you look at the picture Paulcarson posted (https://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b32/paulcarson/maxface.jpg and https://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b32/paulcarson/melgibson.jpg) You can see how the top part of the eyes don't look so much like a football.
I remember eyes were always a tough one because of how much the thickness of the eye varied.

That's amazing for your second sculpt and I think it'll look great once painted too.
And for public sculpts, I ALWAYS end up editing it after editing and editing it. For some reason it happens less in private commissions but once I tell people its available to public, I get a flood of critiques that are often quite helpful haha.
Hope this helps!

Those are some GREAT words from Sunohc! He's an incredible sculptor. I've got one of his sculpts, and he's also going to do a custom John Marston from the hit video game, "Red Dead Redemption" for us here on this board! :yess:

Take his constructive criticism to heart kuato. He knows what he's talking about. :)

Very cool Kuato !!!
Definately Gibson !!

Cant wait to see it painted up !!!

Hello. Just a quick update. We have acquired the final sculpt, and molds and castings are being worked out. We should have all our castings in couple of weeks. We'll let everyone know when they're ready to be purchased.

The Dinki-Di can is done and will be offered in kit form, which is a raw casting with a label as you see in the picture below. We will probably offer a small run of finished ones as well, but not right away.

We have received our order of all the Shotguns, so they'll be modified over the next week to be more film accurate. We'll be trimming the barrels and redrilling the barrel holes, and will double check the shape of the handle compared to the prop and adjust if needed. You get to weather them and whatever else you want. Again, we may offer some finished ones as well. These will include 2 shotgun shells. BTW, if you want more shells, we just added the DC Direct Comedian to our website, and you can get shells in lots of 7 (while they last).

The gas can we're using as a base has arrived and is being modified for film accuracy. It will then need to be molded and cast as well.

Still working out a couple other accessories including the leg brace and shoulder pad. Once everything is ready, we'll offer all items in kit form. The remaining items and any finished items will be sold individually on our site. He's coming along nicely, and we hope you all agree! Kudos to Kuato for the awesome sculpt!

Just another quick update. The shotguns are ready. Here's a pic of what you'll get, which includes a modification to the length of the barrels. Again, the kit will include the shotgun and 2 shells, what you see in the picture.

Once we have the head castings back, we're going to offer them up for sale on our site. Then, anyone who purchased a head will be offered a "kit" containing all the accessories we are able to produce at a discounted price. Anyone who did not purchase a head will be able to purchase parts individualy. We will post here with more information when the time comes. All items will be officialy named "Wastelander..." on the Toy Anxiety website.

Not a bad shotgun. Do the shells actually insert into the barrels?

Yes they do. This is actually the ZC World shotgun that we've trimmed the barrel and redrilled the barrel holes. It might need a bit more customizing to be fully film accurate, but this gets you guys pretty close, or good enough to those who don't do as much of the customizing. Hope to have a pic of the gas can tomorrow before it goes off to casting. We're getting there!

That shotgun looks awesome Toy Anxiety! I'm definitely getting all of the "Wastelander" oh ummm....Road Warrior Mad Max gear from you! Starting with Kuato's great Max head sculpt! Then the shotgun, dog food can, gas can...etc. :)
