Soon, they're almost ready. The hopes are to have all the accessories ready to go at once as we intend to offer a kit. This kit will be available at a discount to anyone who purchases the head. All items will also be offered individually on the site once we have fulfilled the kit orders.

i think you need a better picture than the one on the site. that one looks a bit washed out and doesnt show the same details as this one.............just mho.

well you can't lose that much detail when casting, i think it's just the resin and light.

Dan, i would suggest that you spray it with a gray primer and then take pictures, the detail will show better (or cast it in a opaque skin/gray tone)

Will get a better pic up later this week. I'll have to go get primer, and won't be able to until at least Wednesday.

Update: I have the original wax sculpt and compared it to a casting, and the castings didn't lose a bit of detail save the stubble is only slightly less defined, but definitely there. The picture is just washed out a bit due to the color.

remember not to over-spray the primer (8 inches away, multiple natural waves around the head, not holding too long over one area)

because if you, the primer paint will drip, detail will be lost, fail.

but if you do it correctly, primer spray will leave a really cool 1:6 scale bumpy and subtle skin texture :)

This is a really good tip. If done correctly this looks much more natural than most of the attempts at sculpting skin texture at that scale. Technically it's reversed as the skin would actually have more holes/pores than bumps, but it breaks up the surface and prevents the skin from looking to smooth and plastic.

Kit Update:

Here's some updated progress pictures on some of the accessories we'll offer. First, the gas cans are pretty much ready to go. We'll be selling them as a set with 2 cans and the pole, or you'll be able to buy them individually once we have more castings.

Also, here's the near final holster. We'll be adding 1 more rivet that we missed, and the belts with buckles. Just waiting for buckles to arrive in the mail.

The leg brace is nearly constructed, but we're looking into ways of reproducing it easily enough to offer at a reasonable price. Should have a WIP of that soon.

Also, here are some updated head pictures with primer. I hope these are better for you. Once Chris (Kuato) gets his, he'll paint one up so everyone can see how it looks with a good paint job. He'll also start on the Riggs hair, and once we have a pic for that, we'll start a new thread as requested. Thanks!
