I can’t get enough of this movie; I can seriously watch it every day. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a movie that makes me feel like that. Watched it for the first time Sunday night, then half of it Monday and the second half last night (Have a three month old, so I can’t watch late at night anymore, and unfortunately, I no longer work from home…as Khev attested to in a prior post, working from home is awesome, LOL).

Some random, stream of consciousness thoughts:

-Great score, but I particularly like the music during the chase scene after the War Rig makes it beyond the pass and are dealing with the motorcycle riders (Buzzards?) as well as Immorten Joe. Music is absolutely perfect during that scene, detailing the highs and lows of the scene/

-The fact that there are no “HERO” moments in this movie, in the respect that Max doesn’t take charge and handle everything. Interaction between Max and Furiosa is fantastic as they are defending the War Rig, and I love how Max gives up the rifle (grudgingly, it seems, but he realizes that she’s a better shot) when they only have the one bullet left.

-I understand that it makes sense from a narrative, and “less is more” point of view, but I would have LOVED to see the scene where Max took down the Bullet Farmer and his lackeys armed with only a Kuri knife, gasoline canister, and a few mines/explosives.

I’m going to try and get/start a third viewing tonight.

Like I said, it works in the context of the movie...but still, it would have been another awesome scene.

"Where's he going?"

"To retaliate first."

I think its fun to imagine how he took out the Bullet Farmer... moreso than showing us an improbable action sequence.

close combat. blood everywhere.
the fact that they left that part for one's imagination/interpretation is beyond awesome.
kukri knife. gasoline. blood. :woo

For those that have the blu/dvd...are there any deleted scenes or docos on there? Only seen it the once at the cinema so will be buying it but not til tomorrow..

Yes, to both. Haven't watched the behind the scenes/documentaries yet, but there are three deleted scenes.

For those that missed seeing this glorious movie in IMAX 3D (myself included) it's back in IMAX this week only. Yes!!!:

I'm tellin' ya, the re-watchability of this movie will catapult it to classic in time.

Agreed...keep seeing more and more....its my new background movie....meaning I play it all the time in the background of whatever I am doing...

I don't get why people are hyping this movie?
To me it was just...meh.

I absolutely love the idea that people love this movie, that this movie was finally made and all.
It deserves to be a success as its a pretty balsy flick in nowadays tale and boring action flicks.
But i dont love it as much as i hoped, the things that bothers me are have too more weight, yet ill get it on blu.
Clearly overhyped but hey when yu love :)
