When it comes to action movies I have only one pet peeve that I cringe when I see it.

I wish movies wouldn't resort to using it but many do. (Even Avengers).

Cars driving backwards just because directors/stuntmen thinks its cool.

Its not for me, it always pulls me out of any movie because it crosses my imaginary line of what I find realistic, especially since they do it for a prolonged period of time.

What's next, Han Solo flying the Falcon backwards.

I hear you jye. I can't tell you how many times I've watched guys pole vaulting across multiple lanes of traffic to escape exploding tankers on my daily commute. But driving backwards? Is that even possible?

I bet you could rig up pole vaulting in real life, sure everyone involved will die horrible deaths, but I bet at least 1 would succeed getting onto another moving vehicle, maybe into a convertible.

Driving backwards is impossible without having your head turned back and devoting 100% attention for that task, at maximum speed of 5mph.

In the movies they're usually driving backwards at 100mph and doing head shots with a sniper rifle. :lol

Ah, okay. You see I don't mind it when it's done by a suicidal maniac who lives and breathes cars. But I do get annoyed when some teenage girl or something jumps behind the wheel to escape bad guys and suddenly she's driving like a world class stuntman.

On a somewhat related noted I laughed when I read one reviewer's comment when he said "Immortan Joe gives chase to Max and Furiosa with his horde of unsafe drivers." It's true! :lol

IJ was such a bad ass villain, he should replace Thanos.

He sorely needs to be given more to do in this movie.

Had the convoy not turned around, he was just sitting in the wasteland doing nothing.

Good point, it is easier to accept Nux doing it over some random bank teller doing it. :lol

I like that it showed that IJ had given up the chase. That the ladies really could have just driven off wherever unmolested or even just remained with the Vuvalini in their camp. The fact that they took the fight back to him, *when they didn't have to,* makes them even cooler IMO.

Because I think that's what inspired Max and got him out of his funk. That fact that he was witnessing good people who *didn't* just want to survive. That they wanted to "live" so to speak.

In a chase, you gotta do what you gotta do. :lol

At least there wasn't a lot of cutting shots to feet pushing gas/brake/clutch like recent flicks. Like it's something great.

Camp, what camp, it was the side of a dune hill :lol

Ok, even though PP and TL are in a neck to neck battle for 1st and 2nd place, check this out:

The next three titles — the male-driven Mad Max: Fury Road, the reboot of the old horror classic Poltergeist and the superhero cluster flick Avengers: Age of Ultron — are also only a small percentage different from each other. The other big news is that Warner Bros. is enjoying a wonderful hold this holiday weekend as Fury Road rides into its second weekend, with a drop of only 44% after adding just a handful (20) of theaters. At the end of the four-day weekend, they will be hovering just under $100M while Ultron will have climbed past $400M on Sunday for Disney and Marvel.

They blame Lindelof pretty blatantly too.

"Ambitious and visually stunning, Tomorrowland is unfortunately weighted down by uneven storytelling."

No one wants this guy near a movie.

Dang it. :(

Friday Estimates:

1 TOMORROWLAND $9,737,000

2 PITCH PERFECT 2 $9,700,000

3 POLTERGEIST (2015) $9,350,000

4 MAD MAX: FURY ROAD $6,745,000

Daily Box Office for Friday, May 22, 2015 - Box Office Mojo

Hopefully Europe, Asia, etc will pull their weight and make the film some money.

Anywhere with an alt comic scene like France should eat this up. Japan are big Mad Max fans and it doesn't open there until June 20th. No release date for mainland China either, but there's also a huge Mad Max following there too.
