Man, its a real shame how it's all playing out for this movie.

Once again it proves that a 98% RT score means diddly squat.

I always try to remain optimistic, I know that eventually i'm going to win a 500 million powerball, but will WB realistically approve a sequel at this point.

Its only earned 70 million so far, not even close to half of its production/marketing budget. :monkey2

Well Miller can still do a follow-up on a much smaller budget. I don't know how you get much bigger than this one anyway. Honestly I feel like with MM, TRW and this that I can just be good with those three from here on out. But I would like to see everyone recognized in some fashion.

I love continuations but at the same time I love having Fury Road just be "perfect" and leave the fates of Furiosa and Max up to me.

Does anyone even want another desert battle with wacky cars/punks again, wouldn't it all just start feeling the same at this point.

I'm open to Max traveling to the Eastern Pacific and battling Japanese Samurai
gangs. :lol

You just know that the Japanese would go all samurai again post apocalypse. :lol

Japan's society breaks down into roving packs of neo-samurai bosozoku - god damn, fund it!

These references are probably too nerdy for even this site but do any of you guys know the role-playing games Shadowrun and Rifts? I could see Miller doing a kickass movie in those settings or something along those lines. And if he's going to jump the shark with Max, that'd be a good way to do it.

Rifts combines fantasy with post-apocalyptic super tech. Something about World War III ripping open dimensional portals throughout the world so all manner of supernatural and sci-fi things could come through. So imagine the final action sequence of Fury Road but with orcs and endoskeletons driving some of the vehicles as cybernetically enhanced dragons swooped down from above. :lol

EDIT: Okay that sounded a lot cooler in my head than when I typed it out, lol.

I ****ing love Shadowrun.

Do yourself a favour and get Shadowrun: Dragonfall Director's Cut off Steam if you haven't already. Captures the spirit and pace of the tabletop version perfectly.

Managed to see this in D-box today. It was even better than my first viewing. Its amazing! This film just isn't getting the attention it deserves. Just a fantastic adrenaline rush all the way through. :rock

Assuming this hasn't been posted already, here's 18 minutes of glorious raw footage showcasing the real stunts, no CGI...

*wipes tear from eye*

That was beautiful. I'm equally as impressed with the film being one giant location shoot as I am the lack of CGI in favor of real stunts. Those motorcycles soaring over the War Rig. Incredible.

Yes! :rock Glad to hear you got to experience it with D-box! I think it's cool that I'll always have this movie linked to that theater "gimmick" now, like Batman Returns is linked to Dolby Digital and Avatar with modern 3D.

I really hope that ends up being as good as the Arkham combat system. If it is, it will be a lot of fun.

The only complaint I have so far is Max looks way too much like Joel from The Last of Us.

It didn't even occur to me that they changed the meaning of the title. The feral kid didn't grow up to become this new version of Max. No, the old Max degenerated to become like the kid due to his time alone in the wilderness. He can barely speak at the beginning because he has become a creature of the wild and Furiosa's quest brings his humanity back out of the animal. He is no longer "mad" because someone killed his family. He had *gone mad* because someone killed his family. Brilliant.

Wow, I'm digging that game. Kind of open ended like Fallout 3 but in max's world.

Count me in.....:yess:
