Fury Road is another movie like Batman Begins, Dark Knight or Casino Royale/Skyfall where another actor plays a previous icon and the new movie is also an iconic classic. But that has NEVER been done with the original director before. It'd be like if Tim Burton directed The Dark Knight, exactly as it is. Insane that Miller was able to revisit his own world/character and still make it better than 99% of what is coming out today.

I saw this film again during the weekend, and it's pretty obvious now that Tom Hardy isn't playing Max, he's playing the Feral kid, and that's probably an upcoming twist if they make sequel, so now I'm hoping that they do make another film just for that moment when the REAL Max shows up, maybe :lol That's why Hardy didn't feel right and felt out of character the first time I saw the film. George Miller really is a mastermind.

Now that's just crazy talk. Troll! :lol

:lol :lol

Feral Kid wouldn't be without his boomerang. :tap

Although it is possible he only uses that weapon to kill gay marauders.

I think Max and the Feral Kid were the same person in Road Warrior too. We went insane in the desert and started imagining himself as a boomerang wielding half pint. We was actually just playing the music box to calm himself down.

Very interesting. We'll know for sure if Hardy does this in the sequel...

I actually think Max was the boomerang and it was the Feral Kid who lost his wife and son. He created the Max persona and the boomerang came to life and became self aware because of the fallout. Feral Kid grew up and realized he was a black woman and became Aunty and that's why she spares the boomerangs life. Fury Road was actually Maxarang's first fantasy novel, being read by Wez who survived and became a book critic.

Just watched Thunderdome.... well, got to the desert and lost interest, so I only really watched Barter Town. Pretty much Citadel. Even the Mechanic guy who can't disarm the dynamite has a blood transfusion tube going that I never noticed before. I still like Barter Town though -- except for the wholly out of place Tina Turner -- but the whole "giving Max a mission" is fun and the fight for the whistler is too.

He's bad, he's beautiful, he's.... the man with no name.

I can see why some of you think this fits well as the final chapter AFTER Fury Road.
