Anybody else get this? Curious to hear more impressions. I guess releasing this the same day as MGSV was a bad idea.

i think its doing pretty good although i agree that releasing it the dame day as mgsv was a bad idea but fury road comes out today so im guessing they wanted to release it the same day. who knows? i have seen some playthroughs and the game looks fun. i am gonna get it today but dont think i'll play it until maybe Saturday after i've put some time into metal gear.

reviews seem to say its decent, worth it, but not anything spectacular. its rating atm on metacritic is 7.3/10.

hand to hand fighting is average, car fighting is good. lots to do, but also does get repetitive. the first 10 hours are great, but once you start getting to 20- hours or so it can feel a bit bland. i hear the story is good but only kicks into proper high gear during the last part of the game.

seems like if youre really into mad max its a good pick up, otherwise others may tire of it eventually.

i'll prob pick it up.

I'm enough of a fan of the Mad Max series that I imagine I'd get enough fun out of it to make playing it worthwhile, but it's hardly a must have game, so I'll be waiting a few months until I can get it for a nice bargain price first.

The Steam reviews are pretty amazing. I downloaded it last night and will be playing it this weekend. Seems like a great game you can just lay back and sink a bunch of time into.

max and chumbucket remind me of leonidas and the hunchback from 300, they even sound kinda the same.game looks good and i played the 1st two missions which were great. the vechicle handling is pretty good too.

Go with XBone vers then, gameplay is incredibly console oriented and PC graphics aren't on the level.

Yep, PC vers is pretty good. It's just that the game is boring in terms of visuals and effects so there's no reason to prefer PC vers, especially since controls are very pad-ish.

It runs amazing on the PC and looks fantastic. I am using keyboard/mouse and so far not a big deal but haven't gotten too far into it yet.

i traded in a few old ps4 games for a free copy of the game, will need to sit and play it properly though, its a time eater.

This game is ok. Not a must have, it's your typical cookie cutter open world game. Go to this section, do this, upgrade, go to the next and repeat. Only thing it has going for it, is it's set in the Mad Max universe. Plays well, not glitchy, it's just ok.

My short review:

Remember Assassins Creed Black Flag?
Sail around the open ocean and rinse and repeat some simple elements such as sacking fortresses, ship to ship combat, 1x1 combat, basic exploring, collecting treasure for upgrades, collecting other random achievements, and little storyline to care about?
This is the same, you're just trading the ocean and ships for the desert and cars.
If you liked Black Flag - and I did! - then there is enough in Mad Max to keep you occupied, driving around, fighting and always trying to get enough for the next upgrade....just because.

I quickly became addicted to the constant upgrade search in his game the same way I did in AC: BF
These games only do a few things, but they do them well. And visually it does feel like you're playing Mad Max Fury Road.

If however, you found Black Flag boring (or didn't play it) and like games with a lot of variety, deep gameplay and an interesting story,....you're not going to like this game :D

But hey, not every game has to be a Bethesda/Bioware/Rockstar masterpiece that ends up on your best game ever list.
I'll get enough hours of fun out of this that it'll have been worth the buy.

Just finished it, quite pleased with it and I think it was definitely worth the $20 I paid for. It's certainly a bit repetitive in nature and I feel the ending could have been solved very differently which was a bit of a disappointment, but the combat (both) was satisfying and it was a decent story and fun ride in the mad max universe which I think is great.

Also the PC port seems to be pretty decent, and while there are some bugs none that were game breaking or off enough to become a real annoyance.

I'm actually enjoying this more than phantom pain. Both desert games but at least this map is interesting.

Finished the game.

Good fun stuff ....was weird that it sort of connects with Fury Road and an actually storyline starts when you're 80% of the way through.

Loving this game. So much to do in the world! One thing, is Thunderdome even in this? I remember it was teased in a trailer but I've heard nothing about it since.

So has anyone gotten the achievement/trophy for getting all non-repeating challenges? I was checking online and a lot of people were saying to pretty much avoid clearing out stuff because enemies pretty much dry up if you take care of it all and you won't be able to get some of the tougher challenges.

Playing through this now. I'm amazed it isnt more popular. It does the open world desert better than MGSV and handles vehicles far better than Arkham Knight. Great game so far and really addicting.
