I've been meaning to buy the Mafex Batman for about a year now.

I just rewatched the movie the other day though and one thing struck me...the figure is just too small. Batman was an absolute beast in the movie. The figure just looks too skinny to me.

My wait for the perfect 6 inch scale Batfleck continues.

Don't hold your breath. There's maybe a slight chance SHF makes BvS movies but they're still import 6".

Your best bet is Mezco's for maximum size.

DCC and Comic Rave is still making one then thier is mezco's releasing next month.

DC Collectibles....I know they mean well, but the articulation just makes the figures look like utter crap. I don't think the DCC regular Batman is gonna come out well once they add that awkward articulation to it.

This Comic Rave (Cave?) one looks promising though...looks like better sculpted musculature than the Mezco one. Gonna be over a hundred bucks though.

And before you know it, all the companies will be releasing Justice League versions too, with whatever minor tweaks they made to the costume.

Their upcoming Suicide Squad stuff look pretty awful so I don't have high hopes for good BVS figures from them.

I actually think the Mafex Joker looks better than the Figuarts one. I preordered the Mafex Deadshot as that was the first one I saw and I have a Harley Figuarts PO'd because the Mafex one looks like crud next to it. Of course the Joker and Harley go through, like a half a dozen costums in Suicide Squad so I'm, sure we will see other plastic representations. :)

I agree with you, though I was saying that the Comic Cave SS stuff looks pretty bad.

I'm a bit late to the game, but I just got Batman and Superman in from BBTS. Hopefully they live up to expectations!

I just opened up Superman. What is up with the hate for this figure? I really love him for the most part. Maybe I just got lucky but the joints seem to be comfortably tight on mine. No where near as loose as my Mafex Bank Robber Joker. Sups will hold a pose easy.

Really my biggest complaint is the size of the cape. What were they thinking? Plus the wire on the bottom isn't super useful. That's why I immediately pulled it out after I got Sups out of the package and re-threaded it into the sides. Works a lot better now, just gotta do more adjusting than usual due to the size.

Again maybe I just got lucky but he seems like a fine addition to my collection.

:lol nobody hated the figure, I myself was a big defender of it before it came out.

We hate the terrible... *terrible* QC of Mafex for which they are very well known.

When this was released you used to see horror stories and pics of broken figures on daily basis all over social media, it even happened to a couple people in this very thread.

But dont sweat it, soon the designated Mafex representative of this thread, Yahzee, will let you know how this is all untrue, how people fabricated their terrible experiences with these figures in order to sink a toy company they have no stake in.

Im glad you got a good one, I just dont want to go through the hazzle of getting a broken one, especially when I know more brands are gonna make a better version when Justice League comes out.

...didn't get why they put the wire at the bottom, but once you know how to work it, it's wonderful, specially with a cape that size.

Went ahead and repainted the eyes on the angry head. No idea why Medicom made them gold in the first place....

Looks good, gold paint on the eyes is retarded, if I ever get one (the bootleg) I'm just painting the borders of the eyes with red Gundam marker.

I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered a MAFEX Batman. So far so good and no breakage unlike their TDKR figures. Still, the pegs on the hands/fists are just terrible, especially in terms of removing the hands/fists and how they fit. Overall though I'm quite impressed by how this figure turned out.
