not even close.....Jeter totally pulled a power move and I hope Girardi shows him and Posada who's boss. If Jeter doesn't get moved down to the bottom of the lineup and continues to stink it up like he has all year then Joe will get killed in the media if they don't win a WS....

Yeah Jeter stunk it up today going 5 for 5 and hitting a bomb for his 3,000th career hit :rotfl

Joe will get killed in the media no matter what he does if the Yankees don't make a WS run, you must be new to baseball. :cuckoo:

He helps fills seats. He'll go elsewhere as soon as he gets married and the women lose interest.

He's 37 and still pimping, why would he get married? :cuckoo:

but he doesn't have 4,256 :wink1:

Derek Jeter .270 avg 3 Hr's 24 RBI's Yeah's killing it this year.
Salary: $14,729,364

before Saturday he was hitting .257 Money well spent.:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

good for Jeter. can't stand the guy, but he does have skills. and it's hard for a Yankee to get to 3000 cuz they buy and sell players like its the stock market.

^^^ Exactly. Pujols has put up MVP(!!!) numbers for the last 10 years. Has broken more records than ENTIRE TEAMS of players combined, and cemented himself in the Hall of Fame around 3 years ago.

He's a 3 time MVP(should've been 4)
He's...ahhhh, screw it. Here you go:

9× All-Star selection (2001, 2003–2010)
World Series champion (2006)
3× NL MVP (2005, 2008, 2009)
2× NL Hank Aaron Award (2003, 2009)
6× Silver Slugger Award (2001, 2003–2004, 2008–2010)
2× Gold Glove Award (2006, 2010)
2001 NL Rookie of the Year
6× NL Player of the Month Award
4x NL Player of the Week Award
2004 NLCS MVP
2008 Roberto Clemente Award
2003 NL Batting champion
2009–2010 NL home run champion
2010 NL RBI champion

He's been regarded as, arguably, the best player in baseball the last 7 years.

Don't even MENTION Bautista's name or that joke of a franchise in the same sentence as Albert. Albert has taken dumps more menacing than the Blue Jays line-up.. Bautista is having a break-out year. Fantastic. Let's see him do it for the next 10.

Joke of a franchise?..ahh ____ you buddy. Which franchise played a pivotal roll in the development of the best pitcher in baseball today?..yea..

And yes i know Pujols was great in the past, not this year though and not even better then Bautista last year.

Its actually a well known fact that you guys love ____ting on our team, hell even in the NBA..its ____ing childish.

Doc is the man. Don't let Cards fans ruffle your feathers, they'd still be swearing that McGwire was clean had he not come out of his log cabin in the middle of nowhere and admit he was using juice for over a decade :lol

I still don't get why you think PED abuse is funny, much less make the generalization that all Cards fans backed McGwire or continue to back McGwire. :dunno

That's something to proud of? :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

And who is "you guys?" I couldn't care less about the Blue Jays and ESPECIALLY the Raptors.

I love the city of Toronto, just not a fan of their sports' teams.

Edit: and nice comeback by the Cards for a split series, and a tie for first with Milwaukee. They finally have a healthy roster(minus Waino) and should do big things in the second half. Pujols is now batting .280. He will be around his normal average by the end of the year.

what a stand up guy that Jeter is.....skips out on the All Star game and then this.....
https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ycn-8791087

This story is 2-3 hours old. Does Jeter even know about this? Im sure it will be handled correctly...The a**holes of this is the IRS and the government, not Jeter.

As a fan of Jeter, I will say I am disappointed in him for not attending the All-Star game, granted he might be tired from the chase of 3,000, however, he should be there.

last night's homerun derby sucked
It wasn't as good as I use to remember enjoying it, but I still had a good time watching.

It was actually a pretty classic match-up: Yankees vs. Red Sox...if you can look at it that way.

Cano was just crushing that thing out. I mean, how many homers did he hit less than 400ft?

If the fan has a problem paying the taxes, he can turn down the items. People are acting like the fan is losing out here. He's receiving like $20,000 worth of stuff. He can pay the $3000 tax bill for it.

Do people realize that when you when prizes you have to pay taxes?

That guy has to pay while the Yankees get to write those seats off as an expense.

Yeah.......I guess that's fair. :pfft:
