So what's the deal with Bobby Valentine? Are the rumors true that he'll be fired shortly after the season?

There are lots of rumblings that he'll be let go right after the season and yet ownership themselves are being very quiet about it. I can't see how they can bring him back after the disaster this year was. Then again they're so wrapped up in running Liverpool FC I doubt they noticed the burning house that is their baseball club.:ohbfrank:

That sounds like Malcolm Glazer. Cares too much about Manchester United and ignores the Tampa Bay Bucs. :lol

The day Valentine was hired for the Sox, I thought this isn't going to work. I'm sure the smug, "I invented the game" attitude didn't sit well with Sox nation.

Oh well, at least your club got rid of some bad contracts. Theo Epstein at the end made some bad contract signings.

Ugh...the A's and Angels are going to go ahead and make this interesting

Even though the Rangers have the best record in the AL West, I can't help but feel that they are the 3rd best team in the division

can someone translate the book Eric Gonyah is writing I think I heard that its being written in French or something? I want to hear what he said that 80 percent of players were using PEDS

Lets go A's! Cliched the WC, but still have a chance at the division.

Wooo Hooo! I knew you'd be here!! :1-1:

****** YEAH A's!!!

Congrats A's fans! :hi5:
Someone shouldn't have cropped the bottom of that pic, though :lol

Also nice to see Dusty Baker back in the dugout and out of the hospital. :clap

I can't see too many people jumping on that wagon until they get into the ALCS.
I would expect a rush greater than the Orcs of Mordor if that happens, though. :lol

that's right a's...drink that bubbly...get nice and hungover for tonight's game, lol

so do they pop the bubbly again if they sweep the rangers and win the AL west?

baseball has too many stinking champagne celebrations

That was my point. I know they are happy and why they are celebrating, but if I were Bob Melvin, I would have not allowed them to get happy. I would have explained that their eye needs to be on the division prize.

C'mon A's!!! Let's do this!

I dunno, they haven't been there in, what, 6 or so years?
Anything can happen when it comes to the playoffs. You just never know when it will be your last celebration.

Get it out of the way now, and treat the rest of your games like the post-season.
