One of my favorite sports memories was 2007 Rockies vs Diamond Backs game 160. Rockies were coming off an 11 game win streak and were just 2 games behind the D-Backs with 3 games left to play, all against them at home.

My friend and I were at the game. D-Backs won a close game and since they were now 3 games up with only 2 to play obviously they clinched the division. They then proceeded to CELEBRATE ON OUR DAMN FIELD.

Fans, players, coaches...everyone in Coors Field were freaking pissed!

Game 161 we kicked their ass 11-1. Then game 162 we pulled a comeback in the 8th inning to win, locking up a tiebreaker game with the Padres.

We then proceeded to beat the Pads, sweep the Phillies and then swept the D-Backs who led by Eric Byrnes and were still talking a bunch of ****.

Moral of the story is never over celebrate until the job is done.

The Rockies celebrated the NL Pennant like that was their final goal and got their asses handed to them in the WS by the Sox.

honestly, i am going to be kind of pissed if the rangers win the west tonight and have a champagne celebration

anything short of winning the world series would be a failure IMO

i am done celebrating minor accomplishments...i want the big one

I agree with Prog on the over-celebration.
Celebrate, but at least have some class. :lol

Believe it or not, sometimes ownership dictates how the clubhouse celebrates...even little things like on the field vs in the locker room. Read into that what you will. :lol

Stuff like not letting 7-year-olds be in the middle of the champagne shower?

Victor Martinez Jr.

He's got nothing on Pedro's midget.:lol

Wow....completely forgot about that.

I wanna say bud light

For once I would love someone to use scotch or something with a 75+ proof.
That would keep the kiddies outta the clubhouse for sure. :lol

Also, just want to say thanks to the Giants. Not the way I wanted the 'birds to get in, but with how hot the Dodgers were, I'll take it.

Now we get to face Atl, who's won 23 straight with with September Player of the Month Medlen on the mound. :panic:

it's like the funk of the world series collapse just can't be washed off this rangers team

nobody here thinks they have a chance in hell today or in the play in game...the season is over and everyone is already moving on to how many INT's romo will throw against the ravens

wish I could be home for the A's v Rangers game this afternoon.

Can't wait to be in Vegas tomorrow and friday for the wild card games.

Yes! The A's/Rangers game is being televised by the MLB Network. :yess:

If the Rangers lose today, what a collapse by them. They had a 4-game lead 6 days ago in the division. :horror
