This seems like a bizarre time to fire him. He greatly exceeded preseason expectations. There were other years that would've made sense to move on but why now?

Big Blue did it..won one on the road .. going six no matter what now

How ironic, GM 6 in L.A. on Halloween :horror

What I see as a negative of this great offensive WS is you have to have the starters get length in games because when the Bullpen gets involved too early and used early every game , hitters start to figure out how to hit against the relievers .

Even if the starters get in the weeds, Astros and Dodgers have to let them go at least six or seven innings :lecture

Simple fact, the Bullpen gets tired.:slap

When a guy like Kershaw gives up 6 earned runs in 4 2/3 innings, what're you gonna do? Just after making progress in getting the playoff monkey off his back, it seems like Kershaw took a step backwards last night.

Dallas K didn't fare much better than Kershaw. I agree with guyver, the hitters are starting to figure out the pitchers now. Houston doesn't have the bullpen that LA does, but that's becoming moot now. I felt really bad for Brandon Morrow. Dude just got overworked from pitching too frequently.

The game last night wore me out. I couldn't go to bed and then was amped because HOU won. Game 6 will be TENSE. OMG

On another weird note, I haven't followed LA this year but their players look YOUNG. Pederson looks 13. The average age looks like 17 for the batters lol. That just means they will be good for a long time.

They are young..which seems to work in the Kershaw era of the Dodgers. Kershaw is the only one aside from Eithier , maybe Puig, that’s left in his time with the Dodgers. This new breed of Dodgers is why we see them in the WS.

This is what was missing in the Dodgers for the longest time, especially in the postseason ..Youth and Hitters :lecture

Great Series..Congrats Astros

Dodgers should be proud, gave them a fight..but dropped the ball in the finale. Horrible performance..really sucks they couldn’t give a better fight :lecture

Their hitters couldn't keep up - take a look at the averages of the top of the order in the series:

Taylor .222
Seager .222
Turner .160
Bellinger .143
Puig .148

Exactly the Dodgers lackluster performance at bats ruined what I thought would be one of the best WS ever..even if they lost I would been happy if the Dodgers gave a better fight..too lose like this is just sad.

But I will say Astro’s deserved it absolutely. However there is no way I can say that this should even be considered one of the best WS and this was certainly not one of the best game 7 in WS history.

And this has nothing to do with Dodgers losing either :thud:
